Positives: Great eye dr and great asst who did the initial exams and fantastic selection of frames to choose from. Details of negative experience: My prescription was the same so I was shopping for sunglasses. The optician cleaned my regular, perfectly functioning glasses WITHOUT me asking for this "service" and the lenses had a reaction to the cleaning fluid and were "crazed". I.E. no longer functioning. Ruined. She acted like this was not a big deal. I was stressing that I can no longer see through them and how was I going to safely get home, etc. She responded with "Well, I said I was sorry!" It took me having a meltdown in the place for her to finally offer to cut single view lenses to carry me over and then she would order the progressive/transitional lenses that I had. And she told me I should be happy that she has the skills to do that since she's the only one in the area. I responded, "well you ARE the one who ruined my glasses. " Happy? I don't think so. I'm in my 50's and this was the single worst customer experience I've ever had in my entire life. I will not return there. A very simple way this should've been handled by this optician... "I attempted to clean your glasses and unfortunately they had an unexpected reaction to the cleaning fluid. They are destroyed. But what I'll do is cut you some single vision lenses today so you can see and I'll order the progressive/transitional lenses. They'll be in in appx two weeks. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience." That's literally all she would've had to do to handle the situation properly. I wouldn't have been annoyed AT ALL.
