I am a UC employee and the day is Saturday. Apple lists Tang as open weekends on apple maps so I drove here after cutting one of my fingers to the bone in an accident on UC property. I park and get to the door and Tang is closed, I read the hours of operation and see that Apple Maps has incorrect information, however I decide it would be a good idea to ask the security guard attending if there are any Urgent Care facilities nearby. After knocking on the glass and watching the security guard pretend not to see me, I get her attention after waving my bandaged and bleeding hand in the doorway. She very slowly walks to the door, opens it a crack, and slaps her hand on the hours of operation sign without saying a word. I tell her I am a UC employee, that I can see the sign, and I simply wanted to ask if she knew if there was an alternative urgent care center nearby. She asks sarcastically if my phone is working. I say that it is, I just thought since I was already here at an urgent care facility speaking to the employee of an urgent care facility, I could get some quick help. She said she didn't know of any and closed the door. Walked away feeling very disregarded and unheard by the UC, in a situation where time was of the essence, and my safety could be compromised. It would be nice if the security team here were taught basic manners, or at the very least about one single alternative healthcare option in the area, considering UC employees may not necessarily live in and therefore be familiar with the cities in which they work. Please do better.

I called to reschedule a CAPS appointment and had a very difficult experience with the staff member who assisted me. She appeared frustrated and unfamiliar with the scheduling process, was dismissive in her tone, and ultimately did not successfully reschedule my appointment to a time that worked for me, despite my clearly explaining which days were not possible. Before I could clarify or ask next steps, the call was abruptly disconnected. I was also scheduled with an intern for an important appointment without my knowing. For students who are not feeling their best and who are trying to navigate the healthcare system, they had little patience. However, before this, my experiences with student staff have consistently been kind and supportive. This particular interaction with non-student staff, however, felt unprofessional and left me without a resolution.
The insurance department is really passive aggressive for no reason, and they also close 30 minutes before they are supposed to. Based on everyone else’s reviews I suspect no one really holds staff accountable here which I find weird since students tend to be the most fragile but that seems to be being taken advantage of
Called when they said they would be open and was told by the phone bot they are still closed. Primary care was amazing but the pharmacy told me I’d get a text in an hour when my prescriptions were ready and it’s been days. The counseling and psychiatry is a joke and so difficult to access and I had a bad experience with Dr. Kim in gynecology
This was incredibly frustrating experience; I just got out of the hospital treatment of one week and finally found the medication that was working for my chronic illness. Then I tried to pick up my medications from the school pharmacy, where they kept repeating "Refill too soon", "Unable to authorize your refill until your medication actually runs out". As a result, I had to put my health and condition at risk because the pharmacy didn't even authorize my refill request on the day that they promised, and I completely ran out of medications even before I could send out the refill request. I reached out to my doctor, social worker, and they keep receiving the same response from the school pharmacy; They just can't do it. And you have to wait, wait, wait. At this point, I am considering cancelling the school insurance completely and not using the school health services AT ALL. I have never heard of any physicians, pharmacies, hospitals that do not put patients' life and health condition as a considerable priority, if not highest. Here, things are different and different rules are applied because it's "school" institutions. It's a completely different power dynamic than other parts of the world.
