My mother received exceptional care during her outpatient procedure, and this was my first experience with this facility. It is truly one of the cleanest and most efficient hospitals I’ve ever visited. The staff was friendly, professional, and made us feel well cared for throughout the process. Our initial visit at the 460 location felt a bit unorganized, but that seems to be due to ongoing construction. Despite that, Dr. Whitman was very professional and made us feel comfortable and confident in his expertise. The notification system was not functioning on the day of surgery but the nurse at registration had no problem informing me of her status. Overall, we had a great experience with a high level of care.

I recently had knee surgery at Hillsborough Hospital and my experience was outstanding! The nurses were excellent, the OR team was wonderful and I could not have asked for a better outcome. From registration to discharge, the entire process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were so caring!

So after reaching out to numerous agencies and attempting to reach out to the corporate office of this hospital with no resolution and ultimately majority of the statue of limitation is passing by due to failure of anyone to act I guess I will post this. I had surgery in August of 2023. Well this was supposed to be a very happy moment in my life it absolutely wasn't, I was overdosed in recovery on pain medication. When I needed pain medication post-op while still in the hospital I was refused as I could only take certain things due to allergies and certain medications not working. The medications I could take I was told I could receive but I never did well in the hospital. The administrator told me that they had the meds on hand but it seems like one of the nurses was taking them as they were not in the pyxis. I was then told by a case manager that they would escalate certain situations and someone would come visit me and get a case going regarding my mistreatment,This never happened. I was supposed to be eligible for discharge about 5 days after my procedure but then was denied access to leave because the discharge day fell on a holiday and the doctor refused to remove the medical equipment that was essentially inside my body. I was told they would consider letting me leave with it still inside but I would have to make the 5-Hour drive back in a day or two to have it removed. They also allowed the cleaning crew in my room while they were checking the dressings on my wounds at two different times. This was a surgery in my pelvic area so you can just imagine what they probably seen. All these issues I brought up to the hospital's attention and they refused to do anything about it I never even got an apology and they never even looked into the issues at hand with the providers either. After surgery my surgeon did not even come see me until it was time to discharge me. He had his fellows check on everything while he was out of town, it would have been different if these were experienced doctors but they were still essentially young adults still in college learning about medicine. To my knowledge this was a 6-hour surgery if not more and my recovery was left in the hands of young people who didn't seem to really understand a lot of things. They definitely did not stand empathy as my spouse was with me and even tried to advocate for me but we told you shut up and that she didn't know anything. I will also list that the doctor was Dr figler and this was the urology team. I had to come back to this hospital multiple times after the fact for post ops and other visits I was treated just as badly every time. Ranging from being insulted, to having a set appointment time and having to wait for 2 hours to get in just to be told the doctor was not going to be available to being told stories about other patients and how they joked about their genitals. I've also reported that Dr fidler violated a law in North Carolina by doing a pelvic exam without permission while under anesthesia in this hospital which he was allowed to do with this hospital staff, and even this hospital sending pictures of my surgery site and genitals to my mental health professional without permission or reason just for the doctor and others on staff to gaslight me and tell me I have mental issues and there's nothing wrong with me even though it has been confirmed after the surgeries that there was an issue by numerous other doctors. To add they also left non-dissolvable sutures inside my body which finally got removed nearly 2 years later by another surgeon. Again I tried to report this to the hospital and they did not care and I tried reporting this to the police and nothing came of it as well as the medical board. I was also told by lawyers that UNC paid lots of money to lawmakers in North Carolina therefore if they did get sued it wouldn't be enough for a lawyer to even want to take the case. So I guess they really covered their backs really well.

A year ago in January 2025 I was in UNC hospital Hillsborough. It was the worst experience I've ever had in ar medical facility. The nurses were terrible. The staff was terrible. The only good thing was the PT people were wonderful. Fast forward one year. I was back in the hospital again. This time with a stroke. I must say that the staff was totally different. It was the best experience I've ever had in a hospital. They must have fired or retrained the other people because everyone this time was so nice and particularly one nurse that I'd like to point out.Angelique Tindoy in rehab was the most kindest, caring nurse I've ever experienced. She truly cares about her patient. It was very apparent. I've never experienced a nurse as kind as she was. I would recommend to UNC hospital in Hillsborough to promote this lady to a training position to train other nurses on how to treat patients. I can't say enough good things about her. She was absolutely wonderful.

I love UNC Hillsborough campus for their emergency room. They're always professional and usually have a fast turnover rate and get you seen quickly. They are always good to me there and take caution since I have leukemia. I also love the UNC Hillsborough campus doctors/specialist that I see in cardiology and bariatric surgery. The blood drawing lab is always a pleasure as well. The phlebotomists there are always sweet and polite and a pleasure to deal with. I've never have a complaint there that I can think of.
