From my very first phone call to my follow-up appointments, my experience with Updegraff Laser Vision in St. Pete has been exceptional. Everyone I encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about making the experience as smooth and comfortable as possible. Scheduling was easy, the front desk staff was welcoming, and the technicians were outstanding. They performed all of the imaging and testing efficiently while taking the time to explain what they were doing, so I never felt rushed or like "just another patient." I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Behn for my initial evaluation and Dr. Foster for my cataract surgery consultation. Both were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and easy to talk with. They answered every question I had, explained everything clearly, and gave me complete confidence in the care I was receiving. One person who deserves special recognition is Jim, who handled transportation to and from my surgery and follow-up appointments. He was punctual, friendly, professional, and made the entire process completely stress-free. It's those little touches that really set Updegraff apart. What impressed me most was how well the entire team works together. The office is efficient without ever feeling rushed, and everyone—from the front desk to the technicians, doctors, and support staff—seems committed to providing an outstanding patient experience. I've been to other eye care providers in the area, and this experience was on an entirely different level. It's rare these days to find an organization where every interaction exceeds your expectations, but that's exactly what I found at Updegraff Laser Vision. If you're considering cataract surgery or any vision correction procedure, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. My previous provider retired recently. Knowing that my daughter and I were due for our routine vision check and that I might be needing cataract surgery in the near future, I took the recommendation of a friend to visit this office (a 40 minute drive from my home). My daughter and I both had our routine vision exam completed by Dr Kominsky (Dr. K) and supporting staff. From the moment that we stepped into the office, we were expeditiously taken care of in a pleasant and professional manner. We felt seen and heard with our concerns throughout the entire process and all of our questions were answered, without being rushed. Aside from a five-star patient customer service experience, the facility is also beautiful with plenty of spacious parking spaces. This office location may be 40 min away from my home, however, I have no problem with this drive when I am receiving this kind of attention and service. My son had his LASIK surgery at Updegraff and we could not have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, every member of the team was professional, caring, and efficient, with appointments that were quick yet thorough. All our questions were answered before and after the procedure. The staff was excellent and made us feel completely confident in their care, and the procedure itself went perfectly with no issues at all. What truly stood out was the support afterward. When I needed to call over the weekend with questions during his recovery, I reached someone right away and received clear, reassuring answers. We are extremely grateful for the outstanding care and highly recommend Updegraff.

Very pleased with the caring of all the staff. Have been a patient of Dr Behn for years and he has helped me in many ways and am very grateful. Only problem is my visit is not covered by Optimum and was out of pocket $175 for me. Also it is around 40 miles away for me from New Port Richey but was grateful that Optimum provided the transportation for the trip this time. Never have had any issues throughout the years.
