Please be careful about this place. I took my kids for school vaccination and I really regret. Apr 23 around 1 pm black nurse brought the vaccines holding them with her bare hands. She even gave the shots without wearing gloves!!!! I never see chaos like this before. The vaccines are free but the nurse fee 570$ because my kids don't have insurance. Fourth day of the vaccination I noticed me and my family started getting sick from unknown disease. High fever, coughing, chest tightens, headache, running nose. Looks like the nurse was sick and till now May 3 we still feeling sick especially at night. I hope not pneumonia.

Scheduled an appointment for 11pm a day earlier, have health insurance through employment. They call me as I'm driving, 10 minutes out from this location and inform me doctors refuse to see me due to my current medications, (blood thinners). Pawn me off on the ER even though My symptoms are mild and not an emergency (no bleeding). Spend 3 hours in a hallway bed due to crowded ER before a doctor sees me. Get diagnosed with the exact issue I told them I had. Wasted PTO. Arrive at pharmacy an over and hour later, only 1 of 3 meds in stock. Return home exhausted with no pain meds and no treatment meds. Just an outstanding display of indifference, all to free up an appointment slot for someone else. Having insurance and a PCP at this place means jack if they merely decide not to treat you. Dr. W Baker, MD and the nursing staff in the ER were the only positive experience if I had to find a silver lining.
Takes over an hour to see the doctor, but if you’re a few minutes late due to traffic you have to reschedule! UTMB is ridiculous. They just want to take your money!
Love Dr Smith and her MA Nicole. We were a little late to our appointment today and they accommodated us . They have both been so sweet and playful with our little guy! Dr Smith keeps us calm and informed at every visit and takes her time , we never feel rushed and there’s never a wait time
Facility won’t take my son in for an appointment because he is considered new Medicaid patient and hasn’t been to a UTMB clinic in over 3 years. Stupid policy. Kids should never be denied medical care. I’ve heard of UTMBs care going down but never believed it till now. What a shame.
