Pretty disappointed, as I had some decent experiences coming here. Customer service experience is everything to me, and I was not happy about my call with them today. When my mom told me about breaking a blood vessel in her eye for the first time a couple days ago, I called VanVision because of my good experiences. I gave Brittany, at the front desk, some of the details. I told her I read online that a doctor’s visit is usually warranted if it has been a few weeks with no improvement, or if the eye is swollen and/or if the vision is affected (which is not the case for my mom, I explained.) I asked her if this is the recommendation to wait, or if we should come in sooner. She was quite rude in her response, saying, “Well, I’m not a doctor so I can’t say.” I responded asking just for an opinion, and she said, “Well, people come in with that all the time.” Not really an answer. I have worked in several medical offices in my life, at the front desk, and I would have never spoken in such a way to a patient. And if I was really unsure, I most certainly would have asked for a more solid opinion either from the doctor or a manager. It would have only taken a moment of my time. It didn’t help that it was also a front desk lady that was rude/sassy to my sibling when we there last— a simple question about insurance and their copay, and my sibling was met with rudeness. I brushed it off at the time, since that was not my experience and I didn’t witness this interaction. But after today, I feel it makes sense. Not sure if front desk gal was the same person my sibling had the poor interaction with, but we will not be putting ourselves in that position to deal with it again. We called and canceled our future appointments.
