The girls are very nice. That is as good as it gets. There is no optometrist on site, it's all virtual. I ordered 2 pairs of glasses. 1 bifocal and 1 sunglasses. It took 3 tries and 3 months to get my bifocal right and my sunglasses kept coming back defective, so they offered a refund, which I accepted. Then I get a call saying that they won't refund all of it. They're deductiong 20% for materials which was just under $100 for something that is not my fault nor could I use!! How is that right??? Don't go! Not worth the hassle. I honestly only went because I have new insurance, I miss my other eye Dr. This would have never happened there.

RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. It's "telemetric" meaning there is NO doctor at this place. Just very young and VERY inexperienced "assistants". They want to take pictures of the inside of your eye and send them to somewhere mysterious. The process of doing this required a flash so bright it blinded me instantly and for an entire day. That was just the first flash! She wanted to take 5 pictures in each eye! HELL NO! I'm certain it would have caused eye damage. How do I know these machines are set properly? The "assistant" told me she has only been there 3 months. The whole thing is a SHAM and without anyone truly qualified on-site you are taking a SERIOUS gamble with your eyes.
I would not recommend Vision Now in Rifle, CO under any circumstances. We had an eye exam and purchased glasses for my son. We paid extra for the warranty plan in good faith. The warranty clearly stated that the lenses and/or frames could be replaced within 12 months. We also paid extra for every premium lens coating available—anti-glare, blue light protection, scratch resistance, etc. Before purchasing, I specifically asked if those premium coatings would also be included if we ever needed to use the warranty. I was assured they would. The customer service when we originally purchased the glasses wasn't great, but I had already paid for the warranty, so I was pretty much locked into continuing to use Vision Now. Near the end of the 12-month warranty period, my son had ONE deep scratch on one lens, so we used the warranty exactly as intended. Vision Now required us to surrender his glasses when ordering the replacements. Then it took 4 weeks to replace the lenses. That meant my son went 4 weeks without his glasses. That's an unreasonable amount of time for someone who depends on prescription glasses every day. A couple of months later, I noticed numerous superficial scratches and strange swirling all over the replacement lenses. They looked nothing like the original lenses. The little scratches continued to get worse, so I brought them back to Vision Now. The manager looked at the lenses and agreed something wasn't right. She even said the employee who ordered them no longer worked there and suggested they may have been ordered incorrectly. She told me she would see what they could do to work with us. I left the store believing they were going to make it right. When I called back, the story completely changed. Now I was told there was nothing they could do because we had already used the warranty. Of course we had already used the warranty. That's the entire point! We used the warranty and received replacement lenses that scratched far more easily than the originals, despite supposedly having all the same premium coatings we had paid for. Instead of standing behind the replacement product they provided, they started making excuses. Maybe it was heat damage. Maybe my son wasn't taking care of his glasses. No. We can confidently rule out heat damage. His glasses are either on his face or sitting on his bedside table. And the original lenses held up just fine. These replacement lenses scratched far more easily than the originals. The difference is obvious. What bothers me most is that the manager initially agreed something was wrong with the lenses. Later, I was told they were ordered correctly, no one knew what happened, and because we had already used the warranty, there was nothing they could do. They just kept saying: "You've already used your warranty." So apparently their warranty only guarantees that you'll receive something. Whether the replacement is actually comparable to what you originally purchased doesn't seem to matter. Bottom line: Their customer service is terrible, and Vision Now does not stand behind its products when something goes wrong. Once they have your money, you're on your own. I also noticed that several of the five-star reviews have been written by Vision Now's employees. Keep that in mind when looking at the ratings...there are sham 5 star reviews here that are falsely boosting this business. Don't believe the 5 star reviews. After my experience, I understand why there are so many one-star reviews. We are all saying similar things. Save yourself the frustration. There are plenty of places that sell glasses. Go somewhere else....anywhere but here.
I left in the middle of my appointment. The eye doctor is NOT physically present to check your eyes. The “tech” does the exam and the doctor calls in from California or Texas. The tech doing my exam was new and did not have a lot of confidence. She had a hard time getting her equipment to work and had to call for help more than once. She was nice enough, but when I questioned her about when the doctor was coming in she told me the doctor was telehealth and was not there to personally look at my eyes. I was trying to understand the process and was asking questions and the girl decided I was “yelling” at her and that we could stop at any time . I was not yelling at her. I even told her I thought she was great. She told me she was uncomfortable so, I left because I was INCREDIBLY uncomfortable that a kid with minimal experience and education was checking my eyes. As a representative of Vision Now, she should have tried to alleviate my concerns about the fact there was no doctor. Instead, she took it personally.
Went in this place a little less than a year ago. Was pretty skeptical of how they did things but stuck it out anyway. Well they sold me on an upgrade to transition lenses because they convinced me that I would be so happy with them. Well they self destructed to the point they are ruined. I'm convinced that this is a manufacturing defect and the glasses look brand new otherwise because I don't use them that often. They said it was heat damage even though the frames look brand new. The manager (Layla) told me they had heat damage even though she never saw them in person and confessed that they have switched suppliers. That tells me they had many problems. Not only did they refuse to replace them but conveniently no longer accept my insurance and said I would have to pay full price out of pocket. So let me get this straight.....I paid extra money out of my to get an upgrade that my insurance didn't cover which ultimately resorted to the glasses being ruined. If I didn't get that upgrade to transition lenses my glasses would be fine. Well I won't go back and reported them to the BBB. Now the news is coming out to do an interview and probably a couple local news papers. It's not about the money to me because I can go somewhere else that will take my insurance and I can reuse the frames. This is about them ripping people off and not standing behind the sale they convinced me to make. Also, knowing they had a supplier quality issue and not standing behind their product. I told them they would be money ahead to make it right but Layla didn't care. I bet they are going to care now because it will be all over social media, the local news, local papers, the BBB, and on their site. Darrell Redman Rifle, CO
