I was lied to by the employees here and now face a massive bill. I was told that they were still in-network when I scheduled my appointment. My insurance hasn’t changed in years. I did my due diligence to verify with them exactly what would be covered by my eye insurance. They told me my insurance covered glasses up to $300, but this was not true. I later got a bill from my insurance, nothing was covered at all. They lied to me, encouraged me to get expensive frames and lenses, telling me it was all covered by my insurance. I don’t know how I’m going to pay for this now. Please be careful, please don’t trust them.

I’ve been to several Visionworks locations and Danvers exceeds every single one. For me the heart and soul is the most skilled, kind, and supportive employee, Patty!!! I had to exchange my glasses for remakes like 4 times (nothing she or Visionworks did) and she was so patient. Patty focuses on each customer/patient fully as if you’re the only one in the store. She goes over all your insurance nuances and helps you pick best options. She’s also very honest when you’re asking for advice on what looks good. Thanks to her I exchanged a pair from another location that didn’t look good and she helped me pick out a pair that fit my personal style so much better. I get tons of compliments on these gorgeous Longchamp glasses so much I bought a pair of sunglasses there by the same brand. I also appreciate how good she is at custom fitting glasses. Patty, if you read this thank you so much for all your support!!!! The other employees are equally as kind. The optometrist, Nimira Sami I saw was incredible too. I needed my prescription reviewed and she too was very patient, skilled and gave me a great education on how to get used to progressives (along with Patty). Thanks you, Danvers Visionworks!!! Your location is superior to the four others I’ve been to. Thank you so much!
Staff is great but pricing is horrible! I got insurance this year hoping to save some money. If you purchase glasses with out insurance for mine it would be $1100. But they give you 50% off and that brings them down to $550. Well if you have insurance they start from $1100 so you pay $525. Now my monthly insurance bill is $16 for both my husband and myself. So basically I pay more with insurance. This is a scam if I ever seen one. You should get the glasses for 50% like they do when you have no insurance. And than pay the remainder.
i went to purchase a new pair of glasses for my son. I walked in and was not even greeted. I asked my son to look for frames while they were assisting other customers. In the meantime, other people walked in after me and they were greeted. Grace a (customer service Rep) asked me to sit down and someone was going to be assisting me. I patiently waited for about 10 minutes and and every one who walked in after me, was assisted. I felt discriminated because of appearance or because I had my two children with me and they did not want to assist me. I will not be be giving this location any of my nor my families/friends business.
Patty and Jennifer made the whole experience smooth and easy! I'm very indecisive when it comes to picking out glasses & got overwhelmed deciding on glasses & sunglasses. . .they made it a breeze! And very helpful afterwards with adjustments. I was a little hesitant to go to a large company & not a small chain eye store. . .but Visionworks was great!
