The first lady I saw that checked me for glaucoma kept pushing for me to spend 35 bucks for a test that I did not need. Then i had the exam, i asked questions about contacts and was told, "they will take care of that out front. I stood at the counter for 15-20 minutes. Every one had their face pointed at their phone or their computer screens. One of then asked me my name got my paperwork ran my credit card and gave me my scripts and said have a nice day? Help? Guess ill go to another place for glasses and contacts. TOTAL LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE :(

I usually have such a good time here, but it’s clear the model is now more profit driven than customer driven. When I arrived for my appointment, I was stood at the check in counter for ten minutes before I was even acknowledged- two people even came up to retrieve something from the printer that was under the counter I was leaning on and didn’t acknowledge me. I eventually walked back into the exam area to grab the woman who was doing the pre-exam, who was very apologetic. She was great and very sweet. Afterwards, I was called in by the optometrist who seemed like he wished he was doing anything else. He barely responded when I talked, and rushed through the whole test. (I’m not even sure if the prescription is correct now, but I’ll come back to that). When I was sent back out with my prescription to the front to pick out glasses, I was finally acknowledged and it was clear it was because I was now spending money. The glasses and lenses pricing was painless, and thankfully I didn’t feel upsold- more like I was being moved through as quickly as possible, again. I left, and my glasses arrived a week later- a week earlier than expected which is good! But, when I went to pick them up yesterday, I expected a full sit-down fitting and adjusting, like I’ve experienced before. Instead, I was handed them and told to have a good day. I took them out, put them on, and then asked him if they fit- to which I got a “great!” and he walked away. Now, my glasses don’t fit right and I don’t know if they were even measured correctly because everything feels like a fish bowl. I don’t think I’ll be coming back, and I might end up reaching out to my insurance about my suspicion of having a bad test done.
Everyone was so nice! The Dr was very helpful and explained my exam very detailed and to the point for me. Very good Selection of glasses. The only problem I have is my one of my orders still haven’t come in yet and was expected 2 days ago as of yesterday. I checked the order status and it says pending! It’s very frustrating not having any updates other than pending for now 3 days! One pair was done Monday and my other pair still not done!
I went to this location because my wife has gone here for a long time and I needed a new optician. This was a horrible experience. First the kid who checked my old glasses for the prescription and did my eye pressure and sensitivity test weirded me out. He asked standard questions and medications and if I had eye surgery, but then he asked where I went before coming to this location and I told him I used to go a place in mcmurray my entire life but needed to switch to somewhere else. To this he asked why and I said personal reasons and he wouldn't not let it go, he told me it was important that they know and didn't even have a tablet or computer or anything, the way he was pushing and staring at me made me feel like he personally wanted to know and I just kept saying it was a personal reason because it is, nothing more than that, I told him that my answer should change anything about the current appointment and he finally let it go but acted really annoyed and barked to go back to the waiting area. The entire time I was in the building was less than 10 minutes, the "eye exam" was a joke, the doctor said 15 words to me total: "sit down, tell me if either is better or worse", "done, go to the front" I asked if it got better or worse and he just pointed to the door. The whole process was way too short, he only flipped through two different sets of lenses on the phoroptor and none of the options were clear, there were definitely differences between the sets but none were good, I tried telling the guy this and he ignored me. I pulled away from the phoroptor for a second and he wasn't even operating it, it was an automated one and he was looking at something on the computer that looked like a Google search page. Then when I went to the front they said my prescription was a little worse than my old glasses so I should look at their selection and pick out new frames because my insurance covered it. I said wanted to use my own frames because they were only a few months old (I bought my current frames from Pair Eyewear because I liked the idea of changing top frames. The lady said "well you won't have glasses for 10 days, is that what you want?" I asked why and she said they send frames out to a secondary location to to get lens cut and installed. I chose this location because I remember that had a lens lab so I thought they could do it all in house, nope they got rid of the lab. I said fine, I could get some frames through them as a backup and then send my current frames when I got the new ones and pay out of pocket for a second set of lenses and then I'd have a backup pair of glasses. She laughed at that and said it'll cost around $115.00 for a second set of lenses. I'm not paying that much money for a backup pair of glasses. I told them that I wasn't going to worry about it and I'll just deal with my current prescription and they acted immensely offended and the woman said "well I guess, why would you do that though?" When I said I wasn't wasting my money she scoffed and me and didn't say anything else, I tried asking if I needed to do anything to check out and she just waved me away. I'm extremely angry that my time was wasted and my 1 allowed appointment paid by insurance is gone, I have ti wait an entire year with a prescription that isn't accurate because these guys just wanted to get me in and out and get paid. I do not trust the prescription they said I had in the slightest, there was not enough checking done on my eyes to get an accurate gauge. I really wish I would not have gone. Please don't go here.
Today my daughter went into visionworks for sunglasses and Joshua was so kind and helpful!!! She got exactly what she needed and was just an amazing experience! We recommend visionworks to everyone- they are the BEST!!! Thank you Joshua!!!
