Visionworks @ the commons in federal way was the best place for getting my eye exam plus glasses. Eye exam was a little more than some other places, but made up for it by 1. Being open on Saturday & 2. The staff were so friendly & knowledgeable & the staff on the eyeglass side hooked it up for a good deal, Plus told me that they would refill my glasses solution when I run out & Savan helped me find the perfect frames that I was looking for. Awesome people made it a great experience!

I can't speak to the eyeglass sales side of visions works at the commons... However, I absolutely encourage all of your to avoid Dr. Jennifer Nguyen at all costs. Not only was she incredible condescending and flat-out rude to me at my appointment, her business practice's are atrocious. In no particular order; 1) She/her office scheduled me for a follow-up appointment on a day she wasn't even in the office. I showed up and was told by the nice staff on the sales side "The doctor isn't in today, you're the 2nd or 3rd person thats come in" - What an incredible waste of my time, had to leave work early, etc. 2) Charged me $90 for contact lens 'fitting', which took less than five minutes of her time. After sending me out with a 'trail pair' of contacts my prescription print out only contains a prescription for glasses - "no contact lenses prescribed" clearly written on my printout. She requires a follow-up 'exam' to finalize the contact lens fitting (I assume an additional office visit fee/co-pay). The follow-up was the appointment mentioned above that she scheduled on a day she isn't even at the location... 3) After numerous calls/VM's over the last 2-3 months (none of which have been returned), I finally call today to discover "Dr. Nguyen is not longer at this location. Please call this other doctor (located 30min away in Renton) for anything related to prescriptions, contacts, etc." Personally I hope she is no longer at the Federal Way location because she was either fired or lost her license to practice optometry. This "Doctor" has no business interacting with the public or treating patients. I would give her Zero stars if google would allow!
I called this morning to verify if they take our insurance. The girl checked with a guy and i was told yes. Went all the way to the business and parked at sears end due to christmas traffic just to find out that they dont take our insurance and the girl sitting behind the desk wearing a blanket (professional) said to go across the street to americas best. Save your time and just go to Americas Best in the first place!
walked in and Frank immediately help me out amazing customer service fifix my wife's glasses that I purchased from them no questions asked. Cleaned them up and sent me on my happy way
A bit spendy. Contact fitting assessment $90 out of my own pocket because insurance no longer covers it. Other places don't charge that much.
