Would give 0 stars but that's not an option sadly. Reasons why I wouldn't recommend this place include: The ladies at the front desks. Keeley specifically was.. Something... - they both seem to think it's appropriate to roll eyes, snicker and laugh at customers with little whispers they must assume you can't hear. I'm just gonna take a wild guess that the attitudes were an easy way for the ladies to make it clear that we can't afford to be here. They never asked for insurance info even though it was our first ever visit with them, which by itself indicates to me they were obviously already aware before our appointments that we are on Medicaid. (This is a Doctors office after all.. no?) Also a more retorhicle question than anything for Keeley. Girl, since when has it been acceptable to lie to a customer? I physically watched you take and write down my husband's PD but when he asked you for it, your response was a flat no.... (I'll actually explain why she said no below. It doesn't look so good.) Moving on to the Doctor.. It was quite clear that she was just in a rush, the actual eye exam took less than 15 minutes. In reality she should be spending 30-60 minutes with each patient if she was actually being thurough. The gaslighting powers are strong with this one, God forbid she actually finds something that needs extra attention. Again that may just be because she isn't there to give you a through eye exam. That's also made very clear just from the atmosphere alone. Don't even get me started on sanitation, there were 3 people seen before us, ladies and gentlemen they do not disinfect anything. I just have to mention that with how quick the doctor was being with everyone, there is absolutely no way she took the time to sanitize. (Now you have Bill, Tom, Frank, and Jack's forehead and chin sweat/grease and who knows what other kind of germs on your face, FREE OF CHARGE!) This brings me to my final reason you shouldn't waste your time here. The price is an absolute scam and here's why: with Medicaid, a certain shoppers discount, and their "BOGO" deal for their cheapest frames the total was $200. Discount where? Oh that's right they want to create this fecade that they are affordable.. HA! Here's the real kicker though! They were obviously aware of our financial status, they also seemed oddly excited to withhold information, that would allow the customer to explore their options elsewhere. Don't let these not so kind ladies trick you, there are 100 percent other options out there that won't force you to spend more than you're comfortable with. It's also not that difficult to find a PD number on your own for free if you know where to look. At the end of the day we just ordered glasses for both of us and it only cost me $45 lenses and all. That's a MASSIVE difference from the bogus number they were trying to get us to pay for one person mind you. Now the true test will be if this vista optical place even got the prescription right. I'll make an update when I get the glasses I ordered from a completely different source, if the lense prescription feels right or not.. If the prescription is off, that to me is enough evidence for me to assume they didn't actually do anything but shine a light in my face... What this means for the customer is even though you might think your getting a deal, they are hiking up prices of those lenses to an unreasonable number (for that price? and they might not even be an accurate script) just to quietly even out the money they lose by giving away so many BOGO deals. The only problem with their tactic, is when they come across people like me who are so poor I notice how much it actually costs. I wonder if the Oregon Board of Optometry would be interested in some of these reviews.. Food for thought.. K bye!!

I used to go to this place all the time but no more. The lady Dr who took over only did half of an exam. My insurance paid for most of the visit and I paid the balance. I love the receptionist and they were very helpful but imagine my surprise when I got a bill from the DOCTOR for $175.00 (the exact amount that my insurance paid for). I'm not sure why I was billed because they DON'T let you take your glasses out of the store unless they are paid for in full. I know I owed nothing, otherwise I couldn't pick up my glasses so I'm not sure what kind of scam that doctor is pulling but I will NEVER go there again.
Rarely have I had a negative experience here, and when I did, it would get worked out. I have been going here for the past few years and I’ve always enjoyed the staff that works here. I can tell they want me to remain a customer with them because they’re always willing to work with me and, as far as I can recall, they always treat me well. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a male work there before and the all female staff have always been professional and fun to be around. Also, I always find a pair of glasses there that I can afford and want to wear. I hope I will be able to continue doing business with them if my new insurance company becomes a part of their network next year.
Dr. Lisa was so kind and answered the millions of questions I had about eye care, my bf being a glass blower (he needs more eye protection!), and what astigmatism means. The ladies at the front doing paperwork and customer service were so friendly and sweet. It was obvious they all really like working there. Would recommend to anyone looking for quality care and a positive experience.
Only showed me two options for slides when testing my vision and then gave me a prescription even though I said that I wasn't sure which was better. Didn't dialate my eyes, didn't ask me any questions. My insurance only covers one visit every two years and I feel that this visit was totally inadequate and untrustworthy to actually determine my prescription. I didn't even get a chance to say which was better before they handed me a prescription and sent me out the door.
