This review is for a Hampden location walmart, eye center. It was bad experience for me. Never go back there again. Doctor prescribed progressive lenses, ask me to get to use to them for a month with a promise that is what I need. They didn't work for me after a whole month. I Get my eyes rechecked, and finally got different lenses i can work with. All this back and forth took around 2 months. A charge was outrageous for a pair of progressive lenses and a frame. Once I returned them for an exchange for just a prescription reading lenses I had a money left to get a second pair of glasses. And i chose a second frame. Took them 2 weeks to get this done. When I finally got my second pair of glasses, frame fell apart in a week. Not broke, just fell apart in my hands. So i thought it was a defective frame.Store manager Bibas, said he can't do nothing for me because my warranty is over and I did something wrong with a frame, if I wanted another frame I have to pay more, after I already paid $480 on the first try. He, manager Bibas, cheated me with sort of kindness like he is doing me a favor, working with me on my first and second prescription. I had a horrible experience at this Hampden eye center. I don't recommend to have business with a people who just want the money and don't care about your eyes, really, and rude with a straight face.

Bibas is awesome. Otherwise, I had a mixed experience. Paid for an eye exam, purchased three sets of RX eyeglasses, and only one of them works as expected. Paid for a second exam three months later for the doctor to say there was nothing wrong with the RX. I will be getting a second opinion elsewhere.
I give Bibas and JD a score of 10,000. They are the greatest. I could go 5 minutes away from home and use my insurance and get glasses for about $200.00. I would much rather drive 20 minutes and pay more just to go to Bibas and JD. They show me the respect that you want. They are not high pressure and they are the only people that will adjust my glasses exactly the way I like them. My 86 year old mother also goes to Bibas and JD for the same reasons. We have done business with Bibas and JD for years and have no intention of going to anyone else. For me it is worth every cent of my money going to Bibas and JD.
If I could give this store 10 stars I would!!! I found Bibas and JD very helpful, they really helped me with my insurance and was able to find the best glasses for us. They are very helpful and nice. I tried giving them a tip but they refused and said they only want to help us! Very grateful.
The doctor was great. I've been to see him several times over the years. The retail part of the store is another matter. I came to pick up my glasses and I wasn't even acknowledged for about 10 minutes or so. The person that finally got off the phone to "help" me was borderline rude. He didn't even check anything, just handed me my dirty glasses and said they looked okay to him. In the future I'll take my prescription elsewhere.
