I have been going to Front Range Family Eye Care for about a year now, and I’ve consistently had a great experience. I especially wanted to recognize Stephanie for the outstanding job she does. Every time I call or come in for an appointment, she makes me feel welcome, heard, and genuinely cared for. She is professional, kind, and always goes above and beyond to help. Employees like Stephanie make a huge difference, and she is a big reason why I continue coming back. Thank you for the excellent care and customer service!

This practice has been adequate for routine eye exams and basic vision correction. My personal experience for standard preventative care has been positive at this practice. However, I have concerns about how more serious eye conditions are handled. An immediate family member had retinal abnormalities identified during a routine eye exam in December. In our view, the situation was not escalated with the urgency it required, and we were not clearly directed to a retinal specialist at that time. Instead, we were directed to purchase retinal drops from the practice which were ineffective at resolving the retinal abnormalities. This ultimately led to a retinal detachment in April 2026 requiring a weekend emergency room visit and emergency surgery in one eye. Additional retinal issues were later identified in the other eye by a specialist. Based on this experience, I would recommend this practice for routine care, but strongly encourage people to seek prompt evaluation from a retinal specialist or ophthalmologist on their own outside of this facility if any retinal concerns are identified at any point by any medical provider at this practice. The staff are kind and professional, but in our case, earlier referral to a specialist could have made a significant difference in the medical outcome of my family member. Responding to the owner who responded to my review: Thank you for your response. However, it mischaracterizes my original review. I did not claim that a retinal detachment was present or could have been predicted in December. My concern is not about predicting the future — it is about how retinal abnormalities were handled at the time they were identified. When those abnormalities were found, we were not clearly advised to seek prompt evaluation by a retinal specialist, nor were the potential risks communicated with any sense of urgency. Instead, the recommendation focused on an in-office product. That is the core issue. Your response emphasizes that detachments can occur suddenly and require immediate attention, which I do not dispute. However, that does not address whether appropriate escalation and guidance were provided when something outside of a normal exam was first observed. Suggesting that my review is “quite low” avoids the substance of the concern and undermines my concern. Patients rely on providers not only to identify abnormalities, but to clearly communicate when specialist evaluation may be warranted. In our case, that did not happen. As I stated previously, routine care at your practice was satisfactory and your staff were professional. My review reflects a specific experience so others can make informed decisions, particularly when retinal findings are involved.
I’ve been going to Front Range Family Eye Care for years and I’ve always been pleased with the prescription determined for me. Yesterday I had the best appointment because Dr Godfrey is using his knowledge, experience, ability to teach, to mentor two young people pursing their own degrees and careers as eye doctors. I know how valuable someone’s mentorship is - their willingness to give their time and answer questions, clarify the topic of discussion, it can truly make the difference between someone understanding something vs continuing to struggle. I was happy to be a patient they could learn from. I left once again being a happy patient and customer of their services. I am proud to support a business that encourages and supports the future of our future eye doctors. Thank you.
Highly recommend this eye care center, friendly and professional staff. They are top of their game when it comes to appointments. Get in get out and Dr was excellent in explaining the eye examination. Definitely my go to eye care facility going forward.
Very friendly personnel. Process was very efficient. End result was one of the best presecrtions I have had.
