I tried to call because my eye was really irritated and I wanted to schedule to be seen as I think I might have a stye which needs treated. I called first thing Sunday morning and Marty answered. I tried to explain and she cuts me off and says "We don't have a doctor in on Sunday" which is okay, I get it and I did not know that. But to just be cut off and not even offered to schedule an appointment for a later date is poor customer service. Proper response would be to listen to the patient and explain that the doctor is not in on Sunday and offer another time to schedule. I've been seen here before in years past and every experience keeps getting worse.

There’s something wrong with the Walmart Optical’s eyeglasses they sell. I’ve bought maybe a dozen pair of walmart eyeglasses over 8 years or so. They’re convenient, easy, and ‘there’ when I’m stopping by. After about 6 months, Walmart glasses would consistently and invariably scratch and cloud-up, getting to the point where I had to buy another pair after 9-12 months because they were so cloudy. I’m careful, i didn’t abuse them, and cleaned them carefully, but like clockwork they’d begin to cloud up around 6 months and were unusable at 9-12 months. The anti-scratch coating actually made them WORSE for this. I then shopped at Target Optical about 7 months ago. At 9 months with Target eyeglasses, they’re clear and scratch free, they have a couple of small insignificant scratches, but zero clouding or fogging. It’s too obvious (to me). I think Walmart eyeglasses have engineered failure in them, where Target eyeglasses are harder and more scratch resistant than the (soft) Walmart ones. Hope this helps someone. 🙂
I went to this doc in 2018. I tried to tell her what was wrong with my vision and she wouldn’t let me do so as she frustratingly talked over me and hushed me constantly, so and I ended up not getting a strong enough prescription. She said my eyes were 20/30… My eyes had been 20/60 before…. Went to the doc at the Middletown Walmart the other day and she was WONDERFUL! She actually listened to me and even took photos of my eyes when I mentioned my families history with glaucoma. She said she wants me in every year to do a test. Nothing like that happened with this doc, least not in 2018. My eyes I found out were 20/150! No wonder the glasses I got from this lady hardly ever worked! My brother ALSO had a bad experience with her the same year and was incorrectly diagnosed and got glasses that NEVER worked for him. He also goes to the Middletown walmart doc and she sorted him out too. Since this lady didn’t. I’ve had other family members and friend I know have similar poor experiences with this lady. One family member I had we ended up finding out has macular degeneration and this lady never even tested her for it! She could’ve been getting treatment but never knew she had macular degeneration because this lady didn’t even test her. She is an older lady and suspected she had that but the lady said not to worry about it. So yeah it’s been nothing but one bad experience after another with with doctor. Whereas my experience with the Middletown doc was so pleasant I thought I’d tell people to steer clear of this place and go to the Middletown walmart instead! They’re MUCH more professional! Will actually listen to you and get you the right prescription. And more importantly they really seem to care about helping you get working glasses. I was so so so happy to have someone care about that after my experience at this place in 2018 which put me off coming to all eye docs for a few years tbh….
Today at Lebanon Walmart was the 3rd eye exam I've ever had in my life and never before with Walmart. My experience was very good. The Eye Doctor (Tracy?), really took her time and listened to my needs. I was treated very well by the staff.
Worst place on earth. Rude horrible staff that make you feel like a bother. No idea what the heck they’re doing in that office but it’s a mess. Lost all my past records and patient history even tho I’ve been going there for 6 years. And today the day before my appointment I’m told we’re no longer taking your insurance, which called another Walmart vision center and they said that your insurance is fine and we’ll take it. Asked why this one would no longer be taking it and they told me that it’s based upon the doctors decision which insurances are taken. So I feel like I was just blown off because they screwed up all my information. Point is go anywhere else but here because the old boomers in here are a piece of work.
