I drove an hour to get here because they were the only Walmart with availability before the new year. Let me tell you, it was so worth it. I did my paperwork online the night before so it was a breezy walk-in. The tech, Lacey, who led me through the process was so personable and made the appointment even better. I highly recommend this Walmart for anyone going to get your yearly. Just made sure that you show up to your appointment on time! Mary Ann (I believe that was her name) was great too! She helped my brother curate a pair he liked based on his lifestyle. It’s his first time wearing glasses in years, so we were surely thankful! Thank you for your help, Shelbyville Walmart Vision Center! I’ve been to a lot of eye places, but this has been my favorite!

Felt like I was a burden lol so I cancled my 500 worth of glasses and went elsewhere I dont recommend felt very unwanted and a unconvince.
I will not choose this location again. I drove a long way to get my prescription filled and I was excited getting new glasses. When I arrived the were a man and a woman sitting in white coats deeply involved with their cell phones. I guess I was not a welcome interruption, because right from the get-go there was nothing friendly about this person. I even tried to lift his spirits by making a joke when he took my temperature. After the elaborate entrance ceremony, I got to sit down and was asked the usual questions....like my insurance, address, etc. After I named my insurance, this person's demeanor became frosty. He told me that he had to call ahead and I could only have one pair of glasses at this time because my insurance failed to pay. When I got glasses last year, the vendor knew my budget with this insurance and I was not ridiculed like here. He then got up to go into the back room - I guess to make the call - I asked for the second time if I could take a look at the frame. That was strictly forbidden. I told them that I won't touch them, just look.....NO ABSOLUTELY NOT! It was their procedure and he said it has all to do with social distancing. He obviously doesn't know that 71 year old women are not stupid. His behavior was discriminating and insulting. I will NEVER come back here. He than said that every vision center has the same procedures. Maybe rudeness is part of his training, because he did a great job at that. I am sorry that the company allows this to happen!
I never leave bad review EVER, but my experience here was inexcusable. I just left this place in tears from being completely shamed and embarrassed for not coming to the eye doctor enough. Which I know it isn’t good to not come, but I am broke and no vision insurance until recently. TIMES ARE HARD RIGHT NOW AND ITS REALLY NONE OF HIS BUSINESS. HE IS SUPPOSED TO HELP AND EDUCATE PEOPLE, NOT SHAME THEM. I needed new contacts, mine were extremely old. Before he even checked if anything was wrong with my eyes from wearing such old contacts He very rudely told me that he will not be examining me for a new contact prescription, and will be sent home with the same OLD contacts. Can some one tell me if this is normal? If so, then what is the point in going to the eye doctor? How am I supposed to get a prescription and how am I supposed to drive home? I will NOT be coming back here. The lady that answered the door was extremely rude and screamed at me through the glass that the doctor wasn’t even there and that “I’m just going to have to wait” this was before a word even came out of my mouth ( I had an appointment and was perfectly on time)
I was on the fence about going (haven't been since 2019) due to the fact I did not like nor feel comfortable with the doctor but apon my arrival I was very happy to see a new Dr with an actual receptionist and nurse. He was very nice and patient with me also very professional and helpful...he took very good care to explain and answer and question I had and was extremely personable. I'm so glad I went and can see better than have in a LONG time LOL
