Walmart Vision Center

This is the second bad experience I’ve had with Walmart Vision Center, and unfortunately it confirms that their service is extremely unreliable. The first time, I ordered contact lenses and asked for them to be shipped to my home. I didn’t receive my order for over a month, and the staff kept blaming the shipping company for the delay. Despite that, I decided to give them another chance. This time, to avoid any shipping issues, I clearly told them I would pick up the order from the store. Before placing the order, I asked how long it would take and was told 5–7 days. It has now been more than two weeks, and I still don’t have my contact lenses. Each time I call, I’m told to wait another few days. Two days ago, they told me the order would be ready and that I could come pick it up. I called again before heading to the store just to confirm, and suddenly I was told to wait another week. The constant delays, excuses, and inconsistent information are extremely frustrating. Even though their prices may be cheaper than other places, the service is horrible and absolutely not worth the stress. I do not recommend Walmart Vision Center to anyone who values their time or expects basic reliability.

Abdul is the G.O.A.T. My frames that I had previously purchased there years ago just broke out of the blue, and he was able to very quickly pull up the style of frames I purchased, check if they were in stock (I got very lucky and they were), and pop the lenses out and put them in the new frames. I had called in and spoken to him briefly and he was very kind and helpful.

It is very unfortunate to be faced with poor potential customer service like I have there. IndeedI had bought a really nice pair of glasses second hand and wanted to change the lenses as they are not the right ones for me. I am a foreigner so I got my prescription done in Switzerland - the man servicing me was quite rude about my inquiry - responding in very brief and disagreeable sentences to ask for the prescription and then tell me it wasn’t possible to be done here - not providing an explanation about Virginia law until I further inquired. I wouldn’t have minded getting a new prescription done there if only it was offered to me and that I wasn’t treated like a nuisance rather than a customer. The woman working there with him was much nicer ,but nonetheless I walked myself 5 minutes away to the target optician who was much kinder to me in their explanations and service - offering me options for scheduling a prescription. What a shame to lose a potential customer by treating them as if they couldn’t possibly become one. My Versace glasses and I will take our business elsewhere.

Outstanding customer service offered by the vision center manager Devendra at this Walmart location was exceptional and one of a kind. Devendra the vision manager is knowledgeable, friendly and exceptionally helpful. Thank you Devendra.

I was a little afraid when I read the previous reviews, but I have to say that I had a very good experience. Perhaps there were problematic employees in the past who no longer work at this place. We had optical exams from Dr. Cho next door, so we went to this Walmart Vision and Glasses store. Abdul was very patient as I selected frames and let me know what my insurance covered and did not cover. He processed the transaction quickly. The order was ready in a week as promised. Jackie helped when we came by to pick up the glasses. She took her time, was very nice, and made sure we were satisfied. The glasses fit perfectly and provide the proper corrective vision. We would go back to this store based on our experience.
