Paying out of pocket is tough enough in this economy, it’s roughly $180 for an exam to get contacts then another $200 to get the contacts and that’s only for 6 months. These things are a luxury and to me it’s worth being able to see however, being met with a big bill and zero sympathy or clarification from the person delivering the bill… When i called in for an appointment i asked for an exam for contacts. when i got there the lady at the front desk Nancy, was incredibly rude and condescending just answering questions i had about insurance. when i asked why i was told it would be $120 on the phone for contacts not the $180 i was charged, she shrugged, was very smug and said “oh well, that’s the price, you should have asked for contacts”. instead of admitting the person on the phone had messed up and miscommunicated the fact that contacts actually cost $180 because they have to examine contacts and glasses. and glasses exam are $120. Very unprofessional practice, i would be less upset about the pricing if Nancy had been nice, it’s that simple. I had to shake off her awful mean girl energy ugh. The company that use to operate here under Dr.Nguyen was very kind, when they messed up they made good on it or showed compassion. I will be finding and using her services moving forward.
