Yesterday, I took my daughter to this Walmart Vision Center to address an issue with her lenses' focus. Due to the language barrier, the process took over an hour; throughout this time, the staff member, Tina Parsons, was incredibly patient. She even brought in a live interpreter to facilitate communication and tried to contact the doctor to verify the prescription. Although the issue wasn't resolved that day, Tina patiently addressed every one of our questions without showing the slightest sign of impatience. We are very grateful for her service!

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I received. From the moment I spoke to the lady in the front on Friday 11/4 at 5:05pm wearing a camouflage hoodie , I was met with unnecessary barriers and a lack of basic professionalism. The representative continuously repeated information to me as if I were incapable of understanding, including insisting multiple times that their hours were 9–5, despite their own website clearly stating they are open until 7 PM. I explained that my grandmother urgently needed glasses and that most clinics book out far in advance. Instead of offering solutions, I was met with dismissiveness and circular explanations. I asked if I could simply schedule an appointment, only to be told contradictory statements about walk-ins and appointments, repeated in a condescending tone. To make matters worse, I was informed that I needed to provide a printed copy of my grandmother’s Explanation of Benefits—on a weekend—despite the fact that most patients do not have immediate access to printers. When I asked if they could print it for me, I was told their printer was for “internal use only,” which is something I have never heard in any medical or vision clinic. She also said “YALL” can go to the office max down the street. She also stated she would need to call their billing specialist to determine if they were in-network, yet refused to simply take the necessary information from me and complete that step herself. I genuinely could not understand the reluctance to perform a basic part of her job, especially on a slow evening. To top it off, she emphasized that they were “not a regular eye doctor,” making it very clear they had no intention of helping us at all. Overall, the experience felt dismissive, unprofessional, and needlessly complicated. I left feeling more frustrated than helped, and I will absolutely be seeking care elsewhere.
Needed new lens the frames were 6 months new..No ...you must buy a frame first..they only sell glasses and frames and no medicad/ Medicare either...also I called and cked before going...the Dr I used only eye appointment no glasses...now what do I do? Fixed income...
Just went there June 23rd and loved it. May not be the fanciest but they were really nice helpful people. Went with my husband, daughter and myself cause we all needed eye exams- and glasses too, took us about 1hr and 30 mins for everything all three of us. Eye exam and picking out our glasses inside of Walmart too. I definitely recommend. And we’ll be going there again if needed.
Possibly the worst leadership, and customer service ever since my time living in Sanford. The older lady working the front desk was the rudest employee, didn't smile, didn't greet the customer. She seemed as though she was in a hurry to lock up for lunch to go meet someone. The female optometrist was distance, standoffish and seemed like the lunch waiting in her office was more important than the customer. Sad thing is that my event happened about a year ago, and I'm sure these two people are still the faces of this independently owned eye exam office. I highly recommend to anyone looking for contacts or glasses...GO SEE A REAL OPTOMETRIST, where people actually care about their customers. I'll never spend my money there again. Can you say hayseed business. What should I expect from a place in Walmart. One of the worst store chains ever to grace America. And I don't believe I'm alone in that assessment. This event happened about a year ago, but has nagged me ever since that day...But they would never remember that day because I don't believe they thought anything else about their unprofessional, uncaring behaviors.
