The prices here are unbeatable. The selection is really good. But the best part is the professionally friendly staff. I’ve been coming back for years due to the positive points I mentioned. Special kudos to Bena. Thank you. You’re awesome.

Walmart Vision Center – Farmingdale, NY | Optician Michael Pignataro I have worn corrective lenses for five decades, and have sat across from a lot of opticians in a lot of practices — from high-end Manhattan boutique eyewear shops to independent optical studios across Long Island. I tell you that when I say Optician Michael Pignataro at the Walmart Vision Center in Farmingdale is among the absolute best I have ever encountered, that statement carries genuine weight. This is not casual praise. I received from Michael a masterclass in patient-centered optical care. Michael conducted a thorough review of my prescription history, noting changes over time and asking intelligent, probing questions about my lifestyle and visual needs that most opticians never think to raise. It was clear from the very beginning that Michael was not going to offer me a one-size-fits-all solution — he was going to craft a personalized optical strategy for my specific eyes, my specific needs, and my specific life. His product knowledge is second to none. Michael walked me through the landscape of current lens technologies with the fluency and nuance of a specialist who has spent years not just selling eyewear, but genuinely studying the science behind it. He discussed the optical properties of various high-index lens materials, the practical differences between anti-reflective coatings at different price points, and the ergonomic advantages of certain progressive designs for people with my occupational profile. This was not a sales pitch. It was an education. I came away from that conversation knowing more about optics than I had learned in fifty years of wearing glasses, and feeling completely confident that every decision we made together was the right one for me. The frame consultation was equally thorough. Michael has an exceptional aesthetic sensibility combined with a practical understanding of how frame geometry affects lens performance — particularly with progressive lenses, where frame depth matters enormously. He guided me toward options that complemented my facial structure while also meeting the technical requirements of my prescription. When I expressed uncertainty about a particular style, he was honest and direct rather than simply validating my choice to make a sale. That kind of integrity is rare and deeply appreciated. The fitting at the end of the process was performed with the kind of meticulous care that you simply do not see everywhere. Michael spent considerable time making micro-adjustments — checking optical center alignment, ensuring the vertex distance was correct, confirming that the progressive corridor was positioned optimally for my reading posture. He tested the fit under different lighting conditions and had me perform tasks that simulate my actual daily usage to confirm everything was performing as expected before I left the store. This level of thoroughness is extraordinary, and the results speak for themselves: my new glasses are the most comfortable, most optically precise pair I have ever owned. What makes Michael Pignataro truly special, however, is both his technical brilliance and the heart he brings to his work. He is unhurried, deeply attentive, and radiates the kind of genuine care for his patients that you cannot fake and cannot manufacture. Every person who sits across from him receives his full presence and full expertise. He treats eyecare not as a commodity transaction but as a meaningful professional responsibility. If you are anywhere on Long Island and need optical services — whether for a straightforward single-vision prescription or a complex progressive situation — make the trip to the Walmart Vision Center in Farmingdale, Long Island and see Optician, Michael Pignataro...He is THE GREATEST! THE BEST-OF-THE-BEST!!! 5-STARS!!!
I don’t have eye insurance. It was $80 for the exam. And less than $300 for new glasses. Very very kind and friendly staff. Highly recommend Walmart’s Eye Glass center
From the initial scheduling to ordering my contacts, my experience was wonderful. Dr Siegall is friendly and knowledgeable in his field. All staff are incredibly professional and courteous. It’s clear that everyone has integrity for their job, which is not common nowadays. No wait time; the facility and equipment were also very clean.
The entire staff at the Farmingdale vision center was exceptional. This was the best experience I ever had purchasing eyeglasses. Dr. Siegel and the entire team are very friendly helpful and knowledgeable, not to mention the excellent price point. I have already recommended them to friends and family and will continue to do so. Thanks..
