Rocky and the staff at Walmart were so kind and helpful when I felt dizzy. Rocky stayed with me until I felt better and gave me some candy to help my blood sugar. He was so kind and understanding. Thank you Rocky! And thank you to Walmart staff for always helping me find items during shopping and helping me at the checkout whenever I need help.

Today at approximately 2:20 pm I wanted to see a Cologne/perfume. Asked the elderly lady working in the isle about seeing the bottle. She replied all of the products are sealed. Insinuating, I would steal something from there. Will not be spending my money with Walmart. Just needed to see the bottle’s box so I could read it due to the small print on the outside because the employee had no knowledge of the product. Needed to know if the product was for men or women. Pretty simple ask.
This is NOT a "Super Walmart," in all honesty. They need to shut down the current location and rebuild to the right of the Home Depot, if you're facing the Home Depot. Eventually, they will be adding a Costco on that land, but there's enough land to build both. It wouldn't be that hard to convert the current Walmart into something else. The city of Vail is growing faster than they can keep up, and that's the truth.
I usually shop at this Walmart because it’s close to home, but I’ve had repeated negative experiences that make me uncomfortable. Almost every time I shop here, I’m randomly stopped for a bag check after paying—while other customers, who appear to be white, walk out without being checked. As a Mexican person with darker skin, it feels discouraging and unfair to be singled out like this. I understand stores need to prevent theft, but this kind of inconsistency makes it feel discriminatory. I hope management addresses this issue and ensures all customers are treated equally and respectfully.
This Walmart on Houghton Rd is relatively new and seems to be clean and well stocked. It has been a couple years since our last visit, and a lot of shops, food and dessert places have appeared around this store. And Home Depot is next door.
