The staff here are just amazing! It’s my first time needing glasses and after going to a previous optometrist that couldn’t get my prescription right and another fiasco with firmoo, I came here after being recommended by a friend. Not only did they diagnose that I didn’t have the right prescription, they also did their best to give me the best deal possible for new glasses, especially because I had to pay out of pocket. The store manager, Giselle, patiently walked me through everything and thoroughly explained exactly what I was paying for and why to make sure I was on the same page and that there were no misunderstandings or hidden fees. I definitely felt heard about the problems that I had been struggling with for several months and the kindness of the staff was the icing on the cake! In the end I got three new pairs of glasses for a really good price and I couldn’t be happier! Thank you so much!

Story time: Had a full eye exam for both my husband I which also we added the extra testing. All great. Dr. Wallace is AMAZING. The issue came with the glasses. I picked a pair of frames wore them for 5 minutes and assigned them for distance. I picked my reading glasses and did the same. When the glasses came back almost 2 weeks later. My husband was happy with his pair and they were progressive. No issues and he has vision insurance. Mine were good at try-on but became super loose over a few days. Then I started looking at my face and did not like what I saw. I was very happy with the reading pair but not distance. And I should have gone with progressive to be more convenient but I was trying to be cost effective. Switching back and forth did not work for me. I went back on the next business day with all paperwork ( receipt and prescriptions) Kristy is so sweet and kind. She stated the manager was going to be in at 10:30. I said I would come back. Kristy calls me after I leave and says the manager is running an hour late please come at 11:30. I called at 11:30 before I got there to double check. The manager said that she would exchange or upgrade “as a courtesy, because you should have known what you wanted the 1st time” I went in. Kristy was amazing and said how she wanted to make sure I was happy with the end result. The manager in the background talking about how shes pregnant blah blah blah. Said I could not make adjustments to frames I did not like. Long story short, I turned my readers into progressives since I loved the frames, returned the distance pair with ugly frames and walked out the door spending an extra $248 for one pair added elite, anti glare, warranty. Now waiting another 2 weeks for the progressives to come back. So where does the 30 day “no questions “ policy with receipt come into play when you’re doing this as a “courtesy”. That is the question. The end.
I had a great experience here! I’ve had contacts for 17 years and had many private doctors but this place was better than most. Everyone was extremely helpful. I had some complicated issues with my prescription - they listened and helped without making me feel crazy or too picky. Truly went above and beyond for my needs.
A 3 or a 4? 3rd time I've used americas best. 2x down in lake forest 1x in Simi valley. Very good experiences in lake forest. The lenses were perfect. I got progressives all three times. My complaint is with the simi experience. The lenses came out very wrong at first. The sales staff was extremely helpful in trying to remedy the problem. They reordered both both pairs. When they came back one of the pairs was usable and the other, not. Again, sales staff was very accommodating and we ordered new lenses for the third pair. Fast forward 2-3 months. I am not happy with either of them pairs. The problem is with the separation of diopter zones. When I really need to read fine print with clarity I slip on the pair I got from lake forest 3 years ago. They work great. When I first came in to the optometrist I told to simply use the same exact prescription used on the last pair. She took measurements any how and suggested change a. I took her word for it and ended up with the lousy first pairs that I sent back. They blamed problems with their manufacturing. I could say I know nothing about this but now I am not so sure I will stray from my old optometrist that I pay a little more for
Went in today to fix my lens and Katherine was the sweetest person in there she helped me was fast and had a good conversation with her she’s a great worker
