I’ve been a loyal America’s Best customer for as long as I’ve worn glasses — truly never had a reason to complain until now. I recently tried to get back on track with my eye care after a two-year gap due to life events. I was already disappointed to learn that in-person optometrists are no longer available at this location. Still, I kept my appointment and completed all pre-appointment paperwork online ahead of time. On the day of my visit, I arrived at 3:57 for a 3:50 appointment — seven minutes late due to factors beyond my control. I was told my appointment had been canceled with no flexibility offered whatsoever. I take responsibility for not arriving on time. But for a long-time customer who came prepared and was only seven minutes late, some basic accommodation would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, this experience has ended a relationship I’ve valued for years. I won’t be returning.
