Husband and I had appointments waited over 40 minutes to be seen. Both of our prescriptions changed and the doctor didn’t tell us. It’s definitely not a very welcoming place of business. Why can’t prescriptions be emailed? People don’t have time to drive an hour just to pick up a piece of paper. I was given my prescription in person and they had the incorrect expiration date on it.

Do not recommend. I love americas best but this location is a mess amd i will never go back. My first time getting contacts there and the rx on my right eye was wrong i waited 2 and a half hrs for the whole appointment. They said it was because they had a remote dr there instead of an onsite dr. Instead of sending me home with some trial pairs they had me order 3 months of the wrong rx. Not once did they offer me a trail pair. They made me feel like they just wanted my money and my appointmentto be over. As if its my fault my appointment was taking long. When I brought it up that I cant see after getting the order of contacts they never apologized or acknowledged the mistake. Instead they kept trying to schedule me with a remote dr again even after me telling them that I prefer to have a dr on site to address the problem. I ended up having to go to a different location to get the right rx. In the end americas best took care of everything. But not at this location.

Beware when scheduling online, they don't make it clear that it's almost certainly a TELEMED visit. There's a little icon that you have to click to see details and then you read it's telemed. But chances are you're like me and see that icon and assume it's just web decor because all the appt slots look the same. I had no idea it was a clickable button I was expected to investigate!! The store is filthy. We had a first appt of the morning and there's salt and dirt alllll over the floors from people walking around (it's winter currently). The bathroom was gross with no soap. And at no point did I see the techs clean a single piece of equipment, chin or forehead rest. And I was there over an hour (because they make you sit and wait a lot ... Even if you're the first appt!) There were no wipes visible anywhere and the tops of the machines were dusty. To add to all that, I went in with a minor eye problem. I needed a new prescription so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone instead of going to straight to an ophthalmologist. I had no expectations that an optometrist could help my problem, but I needed to come anyways for the prescription. So I asked. The telemed doc told me she COULD help IF she'd been in person. But because she wasn't in person, I'd need to make ANOTHER eye appt and pay thru medical insurance (which has a high deductible so I'd be paying out of pocket towards deductible). I'm furious. I came to what I had every expectation to believe was an in person appointment! And if it had been, I'd have help with my eye. But instead I have to wait 2 more weeks for an appt, when I'd already waited two weeks for this one. In fact, I was there a week prior for my first scheduled appointment and was told upon arrival that they were having problems and had to cancel my appt. Why could they not have texted or emailed me this? Why wait for me to drive 20min to find out? Why not tell me right then and there when offering to reschedule that it'd be telemed? I will never be back.

My family and I have been going to America’s Best for over 10 years!!! Their service is always great and Bex is our favorite! The glasses are super cute and affordable, and their warranty is totally worth it especially for children.

I’ve taken 3 kids and myself to this location in the last 6 weeks. I’m 41 and never wore contacts out of fear of getting one in my eye and not knowing if it’s in there, or I dropped it. My worst fear came true as a result of their employees negligence. My 2 daughters (14 and 17) and I went in for “contact class”. The greeting hasn’t been welcoming since I walked in a few months ago. May, the employee, walks us back and sets us up in a side room with 2 small, dirty little mirrors and tells us to watch a you tube video on our phones. Her heavy accent made her very hard to understand. Nobody stayed in the room with us. It was just us… sharing and touching my phone, with a small, cracked screen (pink eye?). We had to keep going back over the video to figure out what we were supposed to do. I had to focus mostly on helping my daughters, over fiddling with my eyes. It was freezing. I have raynauds and other circulatory problems. I was wearing a whole jacket but I was placed under an AC vent and soaked from solution and I was freezing to the extent my teeth were chattering and I was visibly shaking… I made a comment about the set up being very uncomfortable and she laughed at me saying “maybe contacts just not for you”. Instead of helping me… then left the room again… we were only maybe 15 minutes in at that point. I made sure my first daughter was good to go then I tried. On my 3rd go, I thought I dropped the contact. The lighting isn’t great and I searched but couldn’t find it. May comes back in and I ask her if the contact is in my eye. She looks and looks and says “No”. But I couldn’t see out of it.. we both look and can’t find it. She leaves the room again. She comes back 15 minutes or so later. I hadn’t been messing with the other contact thinking I’d dropped the right one and “failed the test”. I ask May again if there’s a contact in my eye. She says “no”. Then asks if I can see, which I reply “no” and she then says “then no”. She brings in my second daughter. Leaves and leaves me to play this video on my phone for her, again. My 14 yo got them right in. May comes back in 15 minutes or so later, I’m still complaining about my eye as I signed off for the last kid. I ask just as we’re about to walk out if she’s super sure there’s not something in my eye because I really couldn’t see to drive kids home. She says “no”… then my 14 yo daughter says “actually, there is”. There was a contact in my eye the whole time. Couldn’t see, like wrong RX. May laughed at me. She didn’t apologize & actually told me to stop being loud about it. I wasn’t yelling or anything like that, my voice just echos. And I mean, she just traumatized me… the “professional” couldn’t tell a contact was in my eye??? That’s not safe… I’ll never be able to wear contacts now. I’m actually traumatized. The next day I called. No answer. Had to drive down. 40 minutes. Receptionist blamed everyone but herself. I had questions about my daughter’s contacts. No one could help. I email the GM, Bex on Friday. She finally emailed me back Saturday with promises of a call. No call. Today I call. Got a nice guy who gave me regional manager information. Bex then finally called me at 5:10pm when she leaves at 6:35pm. I couldn’t answer as I was in Kroger. She said she called Sunday and left a voicemail. I’m notorious for not deleting voicemails or texts or emails. I’m ADHD. She did not call. On the voicemail, Bex said she already spoke to May… how do you speak to an employee about their behavior before speaking to the customer? From experience; you don’t. She told me to come back for another class and “wear a sweater”. Raynauds and circulatory issues don’t work that way. You can’t just “wear a sweater” and that comment is just as offensive as May’s. Not to mention I’ll need therapy before I can even think of trying to put some in again. I’m over a month out from my initial appointment and I can’t even get someone to order me glasses. I went in the next day to try. Found out today the girls needed to come back for a follow up. Only because I called. Still no apology.
