Overall, the service was good and the process was smooth, just don’t rely on the advertised promos and you’ll have a better experience. I had a generally good experience here, but there are a few things people should know before going. They do allow walk-ins, but be prepared to wait, it can be up to an hour. Honestly, it’s much better to book an appointment ahead of time. If you do walk in, I’d recommend using the wait time to start picking out frames instead of waiting until after your exam. The exam process itself is pretty straightforward. A technician does the initial screening (not much explanation given), and then you wait to see the doctor. The doctor was friendly and answered questions when I asked. They will offer additional tests (like a retinal exam for an extra fee), but unless you have a specific concern, they didn’t seem necessary. The biggest thing to be aware of is pricing. They advertise deals like “2 pairs and an exam for $95,” but realistically, once you add what they recommend, you’ll likely end up closer to $175+. It feels a bit misleading, so just go in expecting that.

THIS IS THE WORST STORE. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. FOUR MONTHS OF WAITING JUST TO RECEIVE A PAIR OF TRIAL CONTACT LENSES. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience has been completely unacceptable. This is by far the most unprofessional optical store I have ever dealt with. It starts with the manager, Rita, and extends to the rest of the staff, including Justin. The store is consistently disorganized, appointments are not honored on time, and they frequently fail to open the store at their scheduled business hours. My daughter has been waiting almost four months for her final contact lenses. After all this time, we were shocked to find out that the lenses they finally gave her were only trial lenses, handed to us in a simple Ziploc bag with absolutely no professionalism or proper packaging. Now we are being told that she has to wear these trial lenses and then come back for another follow-up before they can even order her final lenses. That means after waiting nearly four months, we are starting the process all over again and may have to wait several more months. This is completely unacceptable. The lack of communication, organization, professionalism, and respect for patients’ time has been extremely frustrating. No customer should have to go through this. I will also be filing a formal complaint with Customer Service because this situation has gone on for far too long. Four months is simply unacceptable for what should have been a straightforward process. I would not recommend this location to anyone.
I’ve been coming to America’s Best for almost 20 years and started coming to this location about 1 or 2 years ago. I’ve had great experiences so far! Rae’Ven is very professional, and she and Justin were a huge help in getting the frames I wanted. Justin made ordering and checking out super easy and he has a very friendly demeanor. There was another associate who was helpful during check-out, but I forgot to get her name. All-in-all, I would recommend this store because they really put forth the effort in their customer service.
I had an appointment for an eye exam and checked in at the counter. I stood there for about five minutes while the employee filled out a form without acknowledging me. I finally had to ask if I needed to sign anything just to figure out what I was supposed to do. Communication was poor throughout the entire visit. No one told me at check-in that their system was down. I only learned what that actually meant as the appointment progressed: although the regular eye exam could be completed, they couldn't perform the glaucoma screening or even print my prescription, so I now have to return in person to get it. When I raised the fact that no one had informed me when I arrived, the doctor simply kept explaining that they couldn't have known about the outage in advance. That wasn't my point. Once I walked through the door, they knew the system was down and could have told me then. Had I known what services couldn't be completed, I would have rescheduled. The biggest issue was the lack of communication across the board. Unless I specifically asked questions, I wasn't given the information I needed. What should have been a straightforward appointment turned into an unnecessary hassle and, frankly, a complete waste of my time.
Absolute horrible experience. Everyone in front was super nice, the tech that performed the test was fast and kind! But the doctor was rude, offended that I asked a question, she was dismissive and not happy being there. It was time to pick out frames and they were very patient with me while I picked 2 pair. 2 pair and eye exam was $99 but they tried to upcharge me so much that the total was $469. Luckily I corrected her before swiping my card. They said 7-10 business days. I called on business day 11 and they said 1 pair had arrived. I didn't want to go twice so I waited. Here we are on business day 17 and I walked in to get a refund. Low and behold my other pair had JUST arrived. 🙄 I got a $72 refund cause still had to pay for botch eye exam from a grumpy doctor but I was done wasting time here. Didn't even try on thr glasses, gonna start all over somewhere else. Great place to go if you're looking to get out of the house as much as possible but beware of the lunch break hour when the only person that can issue refunds isnt there. Not a great place to go if you lose your glasses and are in a rush to see properly
