I have been coming to America’s Best since 2019 or there about. I have enjoyed your services. This is the first time l’m giving a negative review. I came in for my yearly contract lance exam yesterday April 16th at the Madison location. The doctor was absolutely amazing, she was thorough and went over and above to make helpful recommendations, l couldn’t recommend her enough - her bedside manner was excellent. The technician who did my preliminary exam on the other hand left me questioning if it was me or if his comments were okay. In one of my eye, l need strong lenses, while doing the exam on that eye he said “is my machine broken” out loud, l asked if everything is okay, he then said he rarely sees my reading at the office and added, “you are used to walking around that blind.” I didn’t know how to answer this question, my immediate reaction was to say “l’m here ain’t l, that’s the reason l get contact lenses to correct that,” but l didn’t want to make an already awkward experience even more uncomfortable, l tiptoed around that comment. I had been wearing contacts lenses and had taken them off for the preliminary exam, l had made it clear that l’d driven their, normally dilation or retinol imaging is offered as an opt-in, he presented dilation as something l needed to do, when l said no, and asked why it hadn’t been presented as optional, he said because it makes their work harder examining my eye without it. Any time dilation is a must a patient has to be advised on being driven into the clinic, it can be unsafe for some patients driving with 4-6 hrs of being dilated. At this particular point l was so uncomfortable, but l kept my cool, and said a polite thank as l left the room even though l wanted to RUN from that experience. I’m so glad the doctor was an antidote immediately after that. I think the technician maybe young and potentially new to this and needs a little extra training but that experience sucked!

I like anerica’s best and their deals, the doctor was amazing this time also. Unfortunately I feel lied to by the lady who helped me with my glasses this time when she charged me it was almost $500 for just one pair of glasses I said to her why is it so much? She said: well let me check here there might be something here you don’t need and yes I didn’t needed it, she said well it came down to $403 still I wasn’t understanding why but I paid. A couple of days later I go back to understand why I paid so much I didn’t even had a receipt, one of the guys there explained but they have added things there I didn’t ask for and they didn’t even explain at the time of the purchase why I was not getting the deal of $195 for progressive lenses, he offered to do a return but do to going out of town and time I can’t wait to go through all of that. That being said just asked before you paid even though it should have been explained by them at the moment, specifically when I asked
