The pre office visit was a surprise. If I had known I would have given myself more time to arrive. I think filling all that info would have been easier at home on my phone. Other than that it was a very good experience. Dr. Johnson was very helpful and considerate.Everything else went smoothly. The staff was very pleasant and the doctor was very knowledgeable.

The staff and doctors are wonderful. Very competent and courteous. Billing is a whole other animal. Three separate times I have been bill incorrectly and it took months to fix. Not pleased with that. **Update*7/28/26** I just got ANOTHER bill for my recent visit which was my 6 month post operative checkup which was included in the HUGE amount I paid in cash up front for the surgery. At the time of the visit they wanted me to pay then and I told them I already paid for the whole thing. After they checked into it, they said I was right and I would not be billed. Of course their assurances meant nothing because I'm sitting here with another $235 bill. And yes, I ALREADY called billing at the number you show above and they say there is nothing they can do. You people are pitiful. I've dropped you to 1 star. **Update*8/4/26** I was just contacted by the office mgr about this appt almost 2 weeks ago and she said that I was charged $235 because the doctor handling my post op talked to me about macular degeneration and scheduled a follow-up appt. Actually what happened was that I told him my left eye would never be 20/20 because I had a retinal problem and I saw a specialist earlier this year. At the end of the appt he tried to schedule an appt for me to see a doctor at his Flagstaff location and I told him I don't plan on coming back up here I prefer to just see the retinal specialist I am already seeing in Prescott. So this company charged me $235 for that 2 minute interaction. I wish I could drop these people to 0 starts...
Very Disappointing Experience for my Husband – Would Not Recommend! Would give zero stars if I could! We had a very frustrating experience with Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in Flagstaff, AZ and DO Felsted . He was told by DO Felsted he was a candidate for RLE surgery that would give me almost 20/20 vision with just readers possibly needed. We paid $14,000 upfront since our insurance didn’t cover it. We live two hours from Flagstaff and made multiple trips for appointments. On the day of surgery—after my wife and I took time off work and paid for a hotel—he was told they didn’t even have the correct lens and needed to redo measurements to confirm if surgery was even possible. This should have been handled well in advance during my earlier appointments. After rescheduling at another location in Cottonwood (earliest next appointment) he received a call just a few days before this surgery from DO Felsted now saying he would still need glasses after the RLE was performed and results couldn’t be guaranteed—completely different from what I was originally told. We ended up canceling the RLE surgery and eventually received a refund, but lost time, travel expenses to/ from Flagstaff, and trust in their care. Communication was poor, and there was little concern shown for the inconvenience by all staff involved. The worst experience we have ever had with HORRIBLE customer care!
Called to make an appointment at the flagstaff office. Before starting, I asked numerous times if they had a doctor in flagstaff that treats my condition that they “specialize” in on their website. The caller taker said yes. Through the conversation, I had to repeat every single thing at least twice because she was not listening. Horrible customer service. Set up my appointment, and get a call the next day 1 minute before the office closes advising they in fact do not have a doctor that treats my condition and I would have to go to their Phoenix office. Customer service is horrible, their knowledge of where their doctors are is horrible. Overall will never use this place. Do not recommend.
I scheduled an appointment to check a stye in my right eye. The tech was very persistent and wanted to give me an eye exam. I repeatedly told her that I didn’t need an exam. I just had cataract surgery on both eyes recently and have been through multiple eye exams. Hopefully, I will not see a charge for an eye exam on my Medicare statement. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and professional. I do feel the reception desk is understaffed as I had to wait 10-15 minutes in line to hand staff my file before I could leave.
