Seeing Dr. Whittington was a great experience! She is patient, compassionate and caring. She explained in detail what was going on with my eyes, next steps and asked if I had any questions. I appreciate her taking time to explain things and break it down for an old man! 😁 I am glad I will have her as the physician to handle my eye care moving forward!

Waited to be called back about 20 minutes after my 8 am appt time. I did my check in on line and arrived 5 minutes early. I could hear the staff talking to each other in the back. Not sure why there was an 20 minute delay to get started. Otherwise care was excellent from Dr Whittington, her assistant and checkout.

The is Is a business folks. Carolina eyecare physicians. are not health providers. They do not support patients. I've been going there a year and a half and have not made a review because I wanted to think they perhaps we're having bad Days, or bad weeks or maybe bad month or no guys it's been over a year and a half. I think they're just bad. I don't know how to really go into my experience with this "health provider" Except to say that every interaction and every thing they needed to do, they did not. I have wasted a lot of time and money going to them. From the front desk ( Who are Rude miserable employees who Are not fit to do any other job except pick up garbage with a poke stick along I 26. And all of these folks are the gatekeepers in charge of handling your appointments , Other miserable people handle your insurance , billing and prescriptions which they screw Up So many times it becomes your part-time job. They are rude to you when you have to continually call them for four months and they say it's not their fault they didn't do anything wrong! The pharmacist said otherwise that they did not fill out the paperwork and they did not complete the prescriptions Using the portal they are supposed to. Oh yes, and When they did order my prescriptions, they ordered one I am allergic to and did not correct it. The pharmacist called them to correct it and then they failed again to place a corrective prescription in a timely way (Five days)so I went out of town while not taking the prescription I needed. Then, Upon my return a week later Carolina eyecare still did not put in the full two prescriptions they were supposed to. I'm over it. I'm not going back. This has not been the first time it happened so they don't get a pass. This has been my experience for the past year and a half. From the tech to the nurse with the prescription issues from them billing me multiple times after I paid, from the insurance problems I've had with them and the "tech "was extremely rude. It is unfriendly and unprofessional. They have failed to provide the health services that they are supposed to. That being said, Crystal Whittington was nice... as she should have been, and there was a gentleman in West Ashley, that I met with that was also nice, and made me say OK I'll give them another chance, but he failed to put in the prescriptions that were needed for me to get over an infection. Therefore, over and over they fail with their insurance submissions. I was thinking about getting cataract surgery, but I will not get it done here. I feel like an inconvenient number here . Not a patient. And certainly this is not a place where I feel like they care about my eyes.

Each and Every aspect of my visit today was as good as it can get. I can't Praise Dr. Whittington enough as Her personal interest in Her patients is a 10 plus. Her exam techniques are as Good as it can get. I'm 79 years of age so yes I have had other Doctors perform the same exam and Dr. Whittington's techniques and patients overall care is important to Her Also. I look forward to my next visit for another Eye Exam.

Dr. Folgar is a very knowledgeable physician with great people skills. He always takes time to answer questions and explain options thoroughly. Need an additional star to rate him properly.
