The nurses and the doctor were friendly and professional. Doctor Scoggs was very specific and explained my son's vision issues in details. I give 4* because our only negative, unpleasant part of the visit was because of the front desk lady, who was speaking to us aggressively, kept asking whether we filled out the forms while she saw we are still filling them out. She was also inattentive, and kept asking same questions 2-3 times in a row. She also asked a damn question whether my son's name is correctly written on the form, while she checked him in, and saw him name then, and also scanned his insurance card with his name. We had to ask her few times to provide the school excuse note for the child. She said to ask for it later, but when I came for it in 20 minutes. She did not have it ready (with no customers around). She only treated us that way. When other customers came she was nice and courteous. Probably, the lady with the short haircut at the front desk is xenophobic, and did not like our immigrant accent. People with this type of issues should not work at the front desk. We hope she would be either trained to keep her biased attitude to herself, or replaced with the more professional clerk. The other younger lady at the front desk with long dark hair was nice, when she was checking us out. That's a shame that the clinic professionals like doctors and nurses do such a great job, but a front desk clerk on the other side makes customers feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Office lady who answered the phone for canceling an appointment was extremely rude. She was arrogant during the conversation and didn't allow me to explain or talk at all. Our family just started visiting a doctor there and we will never come back anymore! Talk about attitude in that office!! Not friendly. My husband had same impression but I was willing to give them a chance.
My husband and I have been under the care of Dr. James Bryan for several years. Both of us have had cataract surgery and can't say enough about how well we were treated and how delighted we are with the outcomes. Rarely have to wait more than 10 minutes to be seated. Staff is very efficient. Dr. Bryan answered all of my questions before I agreed to the surgery. The nursing staff at Davis Center were also wonderful!
I gave two stars vs. one because all clinic staff but the doctor did a really good job. I am not giving his name as I don't want repercussions but he was young and new to the practice. Everything went well until he came in the room. Then his cell phone rang and he left. When he came back, he was rushed and never made eye contact with me. To his credit, he showed me the films of my eyes and pointed out the macular degeneration. Then things deteriorated further. I told him my vision had been getting worse and did he have any suggestions. He did not. I tried again, saying I was concerned that I would not be able to drive or take care of activities of daily living within a few years. He said, while looking at the computer, "I know how frustrating this must be." I tried again, stressing I had multiple responsibilities and was concerned I would not be able to fulfill them and were there any resources he could point me towards. Still without once even glancing in my direction, he thought a moment and told the assistant with him to get me a, "low vision brochure," on my way out. This young man never made eye contact with me and truly did not seem interested in helping me with my medical condition at all. I wonder how would have responded if I was his mother. Several days later, I decided to tell the corporate office what happened. I spoke with a very nice man who said he would get back to me in a few days. A month later I was still waiting. I called two more times. The last time, I told the woman who took my message that I would be writing a Google review if nobody called me back. Someone called and left me a voicemail within only a few days. Interesting timing. By then I was disgusted. I took some time to think about whether it was worth it to speak with her. I ultimately decided to call back. I left a message. It is now several weeks later and no response, so here is my review. I have a business myself and I do not leave such a negative review without careful consideration of the effect it might have on the business, and whether it is fair to write it. Considering the complete lack of concern by anyone other than non-MD/non-corporate staff, I believe this review is necessary. I will never go back there and consider my visit to have been a waste of my very valuable time, as well as a waste of my insurance co-pay.
Deceptive practice. My niece was told her eye exam is covered 100% but was later charged. And when asked, was given a lie -- said the over charge is deductible. The office manager Shannon is very rude as well. Did not even listen to what I would like to say. So is one of the supposedly owner - Dr. Bryon. Don't go there. There are many other good eye doctors even in the same building. I was once a patient of theirs as well but changed after one visit. Guess my instinct was right.
