7/31-I'm happy to update my previous review after my most recent visit. This experience was completely different from my last one. I was seen in a timely manner, and the entire appointment was efficient—I was in and out within a reasonable amount of time. A special thank you to Dr. Morrison, who was professional, thorough, and took the time to answer all of my questions. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the visit was smooth from check-in to check-out. I'm glad I gave this office another opportunity, and I'm pleased to say this visit restored my confidence. If you're scheduling an appointment, I highly recommend asking for Dr. Morrison. 7/17 Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience due to the excessive wait time and lack of communication. The staff at the front desk was friendly and welcoming, the facility was clean, and the young lady who completed my pre-screening was wonderful—polite, professional, and knowledgeable. My appointment was scheduled for 9:15 a.m., and I arrived early at 9:00 a.m. The check-in process went smoothly, and I was placed in an exam room around 9:30. However, by 10:15, no one had come in to perform my exam, check on me, or provide any update about the delay. I specifically scheduled an early appointment because I work and needed to be back by 11:30. I understand that offices can get behind, but having a patient sit for that long without any communication is unacceptable. A simple update letting me know they were running behind would have made a significant difference. While the staff members I interacted with were very pleasant, the overall lack of communication and respect for my scheduled appointment time made this a disappointing experience. If you are on a tight schedule or need to be somewhere by a certain time, I would not recommend this location based on my experience.

I visited this location for an annual visit last year and had a pleasant experience. Other than pushing glasses purchases, I didn’t leave with concerns. This year, I called and scheduled my appointment a couple of months in advance. A few days before my appointment I called to verify the time and they had no record of my appointment and had no availability during that time. Not only that, but the same speciality I visited for last year was claimed not to be a specialty or theirs, with no notice to me. I was also told they would complete a tint exception form when I made my appointment; but when calling to verify my appointment time, they said they do not complete those forms. Based on the disorganization and misinformation, I will not be back. I’m concerned about the safekeeping of their data and patient information based on my experience.

I called to make a new patient appt. Told them I had united Healthcare thru my husband's job.. obviously the lady that picked the phone up didn't listen and thought i said medicade... so she put me on "hold" but i could hear the entire convo. They didn't want to help & asked someone if they could schedule me and someone in the background said earliest would be after March... someone else came back to the phone and said "so you have unitedhealthcare...well Medicade, and want to schedule?" Her tone was nasty and I could tell by her question it was because she thought I had medicade. I immediately said no, i have UHC thru my husband job and her time quickly changed from nasty to helpful. Because of that i immediately said don't worry about it, I'm good and hung up. Even if I did have medicade yalls customer service should be better than that. Myself, my husband and son are in need of a new eye Dr so yall just lost 3 new patients. Instead of asking me to repeat my insurance info you assumed it was medicade & immediately treated me like I was not good enough for this office. Stop assuming and just start being good humans and don't treat people like that, even if they do have medicade. You're getting paid either way right???? BTW. .we have quantum health UMR UnitedHealthcare insurance 😘 blessed be. Hopefully yall don't treat anyone else like this going forward.

The Dr was extremely nice. The staff at the glasses couldn't careless. She gossiped to another employee the entire time I sat there. Oh and it took 3 months to get my glasses. When I picked them up I wasnt even asked to sit down or try them. Just handed them to me. I ended up ordering off line instead. Won't be going back!!

I’ve been going to this location for several years now and can’t stress enough how amazing Dr. Mincey is. He takes his time with you, answers all of your questions, and explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand. His prescriptions are always accurate and you can tell he truly cares about his patients. I definitely recommend this location to anyone in the Charlotte metro who is looking for a practice where you feel genuinely taken care of and valued as a patient.
