Costco Ankeny, Ia 1630

Recently became a member. I have enjoyed wandering through seeing all the products available. Everything you ever wanted and I do mean everything 🙂 Pricing is pretty good on most things. I have done Sam's club and find costco to be a little cleaner and open spacially. After an hour (or honestly more like 2) of wandering I purchased a winter puffy jacket for $20 and a few yummy snack foods. We then indulged ourselves with a huge all beef hot dog and a rather large cup of soft serve ice cream well under $10

Nice store, very spacious. Lots of gas pumps and lines move nicely. Food court has many ordering kiosks and kitchen staff are very friendly!

Costco has amazing deals, a clean layout, gorgeous flower bouquets, and a parking lot that’s actually easy to use. It’s a busy hot spot that serves a huge area, and you can tell why. But the checkout is overwhelming. A worker “helped,” got confused, and I ended up re‑doing the whole thing myself. Not enough lanes, not enough cashiers, and the self‑checkout is way too small for a bulk store. It’s also not very kid‑friendly. Two workers were rude to my children — including yelling “be patient” when my child was literally standing there silently. That’s not great customer service. Overall: great products, great prices, great flow… but the customer service needs a reset. I still go, but I get anxiety every time.

I just went to this Costco for the first time yesterday and bought some of my favorite Korean pears, two packages. Today, I opened them and found that 4/6 of them are nasty on the inside. I get to eat 2 out of the 6 pears I purchased. I’m also not able to get back to this location, so I will have to eat the cost.

I love this store. They had a recall on a pizza they went beyond what any other store I've had to do to let us know. They both called and left a message and also texted. They're always good about exchanging things are giving you a refund. The staff there is always very friendly willing to help you find whatever you might need.
