Costco Optical

What a fantastic experience. The folks in the optical are good, however, if you want the best service, the most knowledgeable optician and a true professional at their craft - ask for Ashley at the Scottsdale COSTCO Optical. She was patient and helpful. Ashley explained everything clearly! There was a great selection of frames available. The exam from Dr Burns was outstanding - he is a true clinician! We will definitely be back and we will ask for Ashley!

I had the good fortune last night of having a wonderful lady named Alex assist me after a brief wait. I went back to the department just two days after picking up new glasses which were a disaster. In brief, I believed they were not properly made, nor as promised. And when I picked then up and expressed concern about how they felt especially painful behind my ears, and looked crooked on my face my comments were ignored. Alex to the rescue! I greatly appreciated the professionalism of this lady, her desire to listen to my every concern and to immediately begin to remedy a previously unpleasant situation. I would greatly appreciate Alex's management thanking her for me. From changing the nose cushions and straightening their positioning, to adjusting the frames as wells the a side arms Alex took her time and went step-by-step to insure my total satisfaction. She clearly is a Value-Added member and resource to the Optical Department and this Costco. Her demeanor and approach restored my confidence in a Costco Warehouse that is our favorite. I visited the optical department at Costco in Scottsdale, Hayden road on March 22nd and wanted to share some feedback about my experience with a specific salesperson by the name of Alex. When I approached Alex with a simple question about whether VSP insurance was accepted, she responded with a brief “yes” but did not make eye contact or offer further assistance. I had additional questions, but her demeanor made it difficult to continue the interaction comfortably, so I ended up seeking help from another representative, who was much more attentive and helpful. As I was leaving, I mentioned to Alex that I would be sharing feedback about my experience, and the response I received did not reflect a willingness to address the concern. I also noticed that Alex appeared disengaged, frequently focused on whatever she was drinking from her mug rather than assisting customers. I understand that everyone has off days, but customer service plays an important role in creating a welcoming environment. I hope this feedback can be used by Costco constructively to improve future interactions. I have been very happy with most of the salespersons at Costco over many years but today was a very bad experience.

My glasses were supposed to be ready within 10 business days. 3 weeks later after multiple reminders - they are "still in the Lab". No courtesy calls informing about another delay, wrong answers providing ETA which did not happen, to get a refund - need to show up personally. Very disappointed, plan to report to BBB and initiate a chargeback.

Beyond amazing service! My husband and I went at 8:45am for the early entrance for Executive Members. We were there only a few minutes when an employee opened the door. We went to the Optical department to start looking at glasses thinking they would not open until 10am. Within minutes Winger Lepotokisi, one of the Opticians, offered assistance. He was so helpful with suggestions on how to find the right size frames, providing feed back for which glasses framed our faces the best, ect. We love the frames we picked out and our total with VSP insurance was under $300 combined!! Winger was fast, efficient and very helpful. We walked out of Costco at 9:32 after purchasing 2 pair of eye glasses and some grocery shopping. All of this on December 22nd!! WooHoo!
