Costco Optical

Don’t waste your time or insurance getting an eye exam here, especially for contact lenses, and even more so if you’re new to them. The optometrist didn’t have the contacts my daughter needed and wouldn’t release the prescription until she could demonstrate putting them in herself. We were told they’d order the lenses and call us when they arrived. It’s been over a month, and we haven’t heard anything. No follow-up, no returned calls. Overall, the service has been unprofessional and disappointing. I regret giving them a try and waisting our insurance here. I would not recommend going here for exams.

It's really zero stars. We're new to Manteca, but members to Costco so since it was down the street, thought I'd would be a good place to start for an Optometrist. NOPE! Left two messages with no call backs. RED FLAG! Moving on...

I had an amazing experience at Costco Optical thanks to the really good service from Mika! From start to finish, she was patient, knowledgeable, and so friendly. Mika really took her time to walk me through all of my options, answering every question thoroughly and making sure I felt confident in my choices. It’s rare to find someone who truly goes above and beyond like she did. She made the whole process smooth, stress-free, and even enjoyable. Costco Optical is lucky to have her! A few key points, I came about an hour after they opened during the week so it was not busy and I already had a new prescription, she helped me with frames.

The organization of the optical department is horrible. Someone needs to organize the flow. The wait times are painful it does not matter if you pull a number. They don’t go in order. They take all the pickups first even if you have been waiting for 30 minutes. This does not help the customer satisfaction and it does not make the wait times any shorter.

I just had my yearly eye exam with Dr. Kaur at the Manteca Costco. I’m still waiting to get my glasses. I hope the RX is correct. This is my first time going to Costco. I’ve ALWAYS gone to a regular eye doctor. My exam was literally no more than 5 minutes and she was rushing me out the door. I’ll be shocked if my RX is correct. Won’t make this mistake next year.
