Costco Optical

First time using them, great experience so far. Needed a spare pair and was looking to finally get some Rx sunglasses too. The frames I had been eyeing for a little while sold the morning I was ready to bite the bullet, but it took all of only two days for them to order and get a new set in stock. I quickly picked a pair of kirkland frames for the sunglasses that feel solid and looked nice, they even came with a nicer triangle case than my normal Rx frames and their little pouch. Buying 2 pairs also gave me $50 off(the current deal as of making this review early 2026). On top of that getting high index lenses comes standard with scratch, UV, blue light, PC/phone screen, the whole ball of wax protective coating, which most charge about $100 on top, maybe extra if you want the one for screens or blue light. When I picked them up, it was smooth sailing. They adjusted them, and because my old pair had some rather hard nose pads, they even offered to pop on some incredibly soft silicone pads that feel like nothing is there and stay on your nose so much better. Each pair came with a free cleaning cloth, which they noted do wear out so to just stop by for a free cloth any time. Will definitely be a returning customer, as long as I'm able to find a pair of frames I like. And even with that said, you can still bring your own if there's one pair of frames you must have and they don't have it, you just pay a $25 fee, it might be $35 now.

I have been having eye exams and buying glasses for 50 years. I just bought two matching pair at the end of June 2020. The exam was first rate, enjoyable and very thorough. The staff was helpful and courteous and explained everything throughly. I bought 2 pairs with the only difference being one had transition lenses. With all the discounts and specials the entire package was under $500.00 Exam and two sets of glasses! Less than 1 week later, I got the BEST PRESCRIPTION OF MY LIFE! The glasses were outstanding in all respects. I’ve read the other negative reviews and don’t agree whatsoever. I’ve never seen more clearly or had a better set of glasses and fit. The Sun Prairie Optometrist, as well as his team, and Costco’s team are awesome!

Had an incredible experience! Staff was pretty busy, however Costco Optical staff was well worth the wait! I had an eye exam previously and they helped me pick out frames, order glasses and contacts and even found me a mail in rebate for the contacts! All staff was kind, patient, helpful and knowledgeable!

We want to try Costco optical and ordered 3 pairs of eye glasses. I got my back with the lens doesn’t fit into the frame and lens had popped out once! My wife glasses made in such a way that is tunnel vision! My son glasses waited for 2 weeks and still not arrived yet! Every time we call them the answer is the same “ should be today or tomorrow “ Not a good experience and showed the American big shop spirit “NO ONE CARE”!

It is such a pleasure to work with Sam at the optical department. Every time I stop by for my prescription lenses, she is patient, kind, and helpful! Highly recommend visiting here on the weekdays, if you want to get some adjustment on your glasses.
