I really like the doctors at this practice, and it's nice that it's family-run. My only real issue is with how the office itself is managed. Before going, I read other reviews and hoped they were exaggerated. To be fair, they weren't completely accurate. I never found the staff outright rude. The problem is they're overbooked. Follow-up appointments take about a month to schedule on either side, and even when you do get in, they're often not ready and act like you can "just come back later." I work hourly, so sitting around for hours or having to reschedule because they weren't ready actually costs me money. That's the part I can't get past, the lack of respect for patients' time. This review covers both the vision and ENT sides of the practice. In this case, I'd gone in specifically to get my throat checked, but when staff told me I could "just come back" for my audiology appointment because the technician was new and not ready, I had a feeling the rest of the visit would go the same way. I asked to speak with the doctor about it and was told I would need to talk to the office manager instead. From what I understand, the office manager is already aware of these complaints so if nothing has changed, I'm not sure what another conversation would accomplish. It's unfortunate, because the doctors themselves are genuinely good. The scheduling and front-office experience just doesn't match that.

I just love the way that the young lady that helped me was how she explained with me and was thorough with every detail that I needed to know about my prescription she was very polite and very caring I appreciate it her manners and kindness I would just like to say thank you very much for explaining and helping me understand how important it is to me to feel comfortable in my own glasses thank you again Maria m a r e z

Don't do it! Staff unprofessional and for the most part unfriendly. Two large waiting rooms - because you are going to sit and wait for over 2 1/2 hours on ratty chairs with two TVs blaring Judge Judy and without any explanation of why you are still sitting there. First time patient at this practice and made an appointment with Dr. Burk. However, without informing me, my appointment was made with Dr. Burk's grandfather who absolutely was struggling to make it from one treatment room to the next. I'm happy for this eighty year old man that he is still getting around but that isn't who I asked to see. This place is all about making money and they do not care at all about the patients. After you have been there for 2 3/4 hours, and are clearly just trying to leave, they send you to another department to get your glasses prescription and start stalling to see if they can con you into spending more money on their glasses frames. This place may, in fact, be a portal to hell—and not the interesting, “you should check it out” kind.
