Today we visited the eye doctor, and we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile from the gentleman at the front desk. The manager was incredibly helpful, taking the time to show us around and assist us in choosing glasses that were the perfect fit for our needs and style. The two ladies at the front were so patient with me while I tried on countless pairs of glasses and were equally kind and understanding with my talkative 6-year-old daughter. Janel was amazing with my daughter during her eye exam, making sure she felt comfortable while completing everything thoroughly and efficiently. Dr. Obana took the time to answer all of my questions and address every concern I had. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and welcoming. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this office!

My whole experience at Eyes Over DFW felt more like a sales pitch than seeing a doctor. I was the first appointment of the day, and the only patient in the office. Before I'd even received any paperwork, I was encouraged to take a look at the frames on the wall. Then I was asked if I wanted to do a virtual reality eye scan prior to my appointment. Before I could say no thank you, I was told it was a prerequisite to seeing the optometrist anyway. When I spoke with the optometrist, I said I wanted a new lens prescription and a new monthly contact prescription, because I could tell one of my eyes was in need of a stronger prescription. In an attempt to get me to switch from monthly contacts to dailies, the optometrist told me about a patient he'd had the week prior that saw a TikTok about a girl who'd lost her eye to an eye-eating amoeba. I said that I clean my contacts every day. "So did she," he said. Unaware of the price difference between monthlies and dailies, I agreed to a fitting. Ultimately, I declined ordering contacts there after I found out it was over $1,000 even with my insurance credit applied, and I left with a prescription for daily contacts that said "Fill Exactly As Written, No Substitutions." I felt like I was fearmongered into a decision I didn't really want to make, and that all this office cared about was getting a sale out of me. I will not be back.

This was my first visit with Eyes Over DFW and it was something exciting. First I walked in and by appointment before I could speak greeted me by my last name. I was impressed!! Proceeded with short paperwork of the get to know. I was immediately taken to the back for the first 2 test. Then the best part a vertical headset that scans your eyes and does an eye exam it’s self to see the different view of what you are seeing. So cool I was shocked. Coming from the old eye exams to this new way of things I loved the full experience. The vision doctor I seen was able to break down all them exams and give me the feedback I need to understand what strain and stress my eyes has been enduring. I was given options and came up with the best solution for me. I love the fact I was able to pick out some very nice classy frames that were covered by my vision insurance. Overall I would recommend that anyone from elderly to younger people try this office out it was the best experience I have had.

I do not recommend this optometry clinic. Communication has been extremely poor. Every time I call and leave a voicemail, I do not receive a callback. I have also texted the number provided and still received no response. Despite attempting multiple times to cancel a scheduled appointment, no one has contacted me back, yet I continue to receive automated reminder messages. During my last visit, my glasses prescription was incorrect. I advised the staff upon arrival that I could not see clearly out of the new glasses. I was told to “wear them for two weeks so my eyes could adjust.” I explained that I have worn glasses my entire life and that the prescription did not feel accurate. My eyes were never re-checked while wearing the glasses, which I have never experienced at any other optometry office. I spent over $600 on glasses and waited more than a month to receive them, only for the prescription to be wrong. Additionally, the staff member assisting me with purchasing glasses repeatedly pushed upgrades that I did not want. Those upgrades were ultimately included in my order without clear explanation, which is why the total cost was so high. I was simply told, “That’s just how much they are.” My contact lens prescription was also incorrect. When I called to request my updated prescription so I could order contacts independently, I never received it. The “updated” glasses prescription I was later provided was actually the same incorrect prescription as before. While the staff is polite in person, the follow-through, accuracy, and overall management at this location have been extremely disappointing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic or its doctors.
