Had PanOptix lenses put in by Dr. Gross last December. Don't need glasses anymore. At night see rings around headlights, but no big deal. Dr. Gross said that might happen, but I told him I don't do much night driving so go ahead and put them in. Best decision I ever made. Dr. Gross is a great eye surgeon. So glad I selected him

I recently read the book “Unreasonable Hospitality.” It’s about making people feel welcome and how to excel at human connection. Well, Dr. David Gross and his staff certainly let their patients know they care. I’m certain it’s because they give their patients more than they expect. Everyone is genuine and kind. Dr. Gross and his staff (at the office and surgical center) gave me detailed information about my cataract surgery explaining what to expect every step of the way. They made sure I understood the procedure and insured my comfort level was high. I read about the difference between service & hospitality. The best answer was, “service is black & white and hospitality is color.” They don’t just do their jobs with competence and efficiency, they engage their patients and make an authentic connection, and that is a gift. Thank you Dr. Gross and your team. I appreciate you and all you do.

The young girl taking care of the testing was extremely disrespectful and rude. It takes a lot to get to me but she really needs to find a job where she doesn't have to work with the public. Or maybe she only needs to work with patients who are perfect. 1st off when she called my mother back, she had us go to a little machine in the hallway for a test and I was pushing my mother in a wheelchair. She kept telling me to get her closer, more to the left, more to the right, it's a tight spot in the hall and I was trying my best. The little machine is on wheels and she could have just moved it a little to the left or right don't you think? Then we go across the hall and she is asking my mother about her medication list. As she was going through the list on the screen she would look to me for the answer and if my mother spoke she would wince & roll her eyes. Then she takes us across the hall and has my mom rest her chin on the machine and she would say " Don't blink don't move." Well I guess my mother moved and she rolled her eyes and said "OH my God! Don't blink don't move!" She said this several times and then kept rolling her eyes, huffing and puffing and saying omg she moved! I had enough and told her she was dealing with an 86 year old woman who had just got out of the hospital and was sick. My mother was doing the best she could. I told her she needed to be a little more patient. She said that she was being more than patient. REALLY? I personally am not a patient at this office and after this experience I know that I never will be. I would rather my mother wasn't either but she does like Dr. Gross and said she had never seen the young girl before. I'm hoping we never have to see her again. Unfortunately I didn't think to get her name.

Yesterday, Dr. Gross completed cataract surgery on my second eye. He is an amazing and caring ophthalmologist! I have damage from neck surgeries preventing me from lying flat in the surgery room. Dr. Gross was so cautious in making sure my neck was propped with towels, and he very carefully held my head in place while the towels were adjusted. I was very comfortable with no pain during the procedure. Someone from his office called before the end of the day each time to ensure all was going well. They checked my vision in both eyes today and I may not need glasses at all once I’m totally healed. 👏👏. His office staff are also very kind, polite and cheerful. They have a great system in place as the wait time is extremely minimal. Thank you Dr. Griss for being top notch! I appreciate you so much!! I highly recommend Deen Gross to anyone who is in search of an excellent ophthalmologist! Thanks also to Methodist Hospital staff for the excellent care provided!
