I try to find good service whenever I have to spend time and money anywhere. This is one of the things I focus on as a grownup. The older you get, you just don't have time to be dealing with angry people who act like they hate you. I feel like the staff at Midwest Optometry Services were very friendly from the moment you walk in! No one had an attitude like, "What are YOU doing here?!" People can be very nervous when having to get themselves checked out. So a friendly disposition from those working there goes a long way! My last prescription was done at a company in Valpo and I wanted to go somewhere closer. The service at the last place was decent, but I wanted even nicer service if I could get it. Like I said, been treated like dirt enough in the past--just in search of niceness now. From all the reviews I read on Google, I saw people say that Dr. Alison Byrne was friendly. So I choose her timeslot as my doctor. She was very professional, not judgemental, didn't seem impatient. She checked all the appropriate boxes. For eye exams, you especially need someone patient because you want to take your time and get the right prescription. So that might mean asking to see something more than once, to make sure you choose the best option. I highly recommend this business and could see myself going back in the future and also recommending it to other people I know.

Dr. Camarillo was extremely thorough and patient during my eye exam. Her assistant along with the sales staff were also very pleasant and extremely helpful throughout my visit. I left very pleased with my overall experience.
The two Optometrists we saw today were both friendly and professional. However, the other employees were not friendly nor did communicate well at all. The same with the employees at LensCrafters, they were not very friendly nor did they communicate well either. If it was not for the Optometrists, we would have walked out. This was our first time going there and it was not a very good experience. I expected better. We will not be going back except to pick up the glasses we purchased.
The doctor was very professional, Explanatory, and took her time to really make me feel like I could understand my vision through the appointment. I was very pleased with her performance and would see her again.
The lady at the front desk, she told me her name was Gawa, is the rudest person I’ve dealt with this year. I simply asked for a note for my granddaughter’s school. She told me she didn’t think they did that but said she would go ask. I said when I made the appointment, they said they could give me a note. She told me that only her and the other girl sitting there are at the desk “usually” and sarcastically asked me who told me that. I told her I don’t know who I talked to on the phone. She then rudely said, “Do you want me to go ask or do you want to stand here and….(she stopped herself from continuing that thought)”. I sent my granddaughter to go look at frames so she wasn’t uncomfortable and then ask her why she was being so rude. She then said something about “We can refuse service”, but ultimately came back with the note that I asked for so obviously, somebody told her to give me the note.
