Dr. Bright is knowledgeable and great to deal with. Some of the receptionist can be dismissive and RUDE, especially when calling for vital information..

Severely damaged eye due to cataract surgery done by Dr Graves On 8/25/25 I had what should have been or so I was told a simple cataract procedure. This began my nightmare and ultimately resulted in a complete Cornea Transplant. Dr Graves was referred by another doctor who happens to be in the same, Eye Physicians group. While doing the cataract surgery Dr Graves said he caught my cornea with an instrument he was using and he did not realize it until the light shined a certain way. He said he tore my Cornea. From that point on is where the nightmare started. He scheduled me to come back to his office the very next morning for him to check on my eye. When I arrived I asked him to explain to me what happened. He tried to draw an illustration but abruptly stopped. He explained that he had only seen or had this happen 3 or 4 times in his career. Then he stated it would take more time to heal and “IF”…...it didn’t “We” I’m not sure who the “We” he was referring would fix it. Not once during this entire process has he apologized or has he shown any sympathy, empathy or compassion for how concerned and shocked I was. I told him I couldn’t see at all in my left eye. He had the audacity to flippantly say “it’s not illegal to drive with one eye” it will be alright in time. What kinda of Doctor jokes about someone’s loss of eyesight that he whether accidentally or not caused.? He told me to come back in a week to see how I was doing. I went back in one week not knowing what else to do only to hear him tell my husband and I that he was encouraged by the healing and to just give it a few more weeks. Then once again he jokingly made another comment “You guys should buy a lotto ticket, because the odds of this happening were pretty big “. I said somehow I didn’t feel like I won anything. He got up strolled out of the room and said see you back in a week. I left In tears. Three days later I went to see a cornea specialist in another town. Two physicians in that clinic told me due to the damage done to my eye, it would “Never” heal on its own. They did two different treatments trying to find anything that might kick start the healing to help me. Nothing worked so one week later I had a Cornea transplant. Today is almost 6 weeks and I can finally see out of my left eye again and have finally been able to drive and go back to work. Paris Eye Physicians group nor Dr Graves have ever called, emailed or texted me to see why I have not been back or to see if I am healing or okay. No apologies no anything. We put our faith in those who are trained in specific fields and we try not to think of the risks. My life will be forever changed by this.
Second year going in both visits was fast thoughal polite and professional. Thank you for looking after my eyes!
Lady at the front desk is terrible. Called confirming our appointment the day before. The day of we arrive and are told our referral expired in October. I asked her how because my daughter was seen in December and she wanted to argue until she found where I was correct. She then stated we just needed to get a new referral before EVERY appointment since we were just seen once a year. Again, wrong, my child is seen every two months. She was very incompetent in everything she said, on top of being rude about it. You would think her job would require confirming all was good to go before confirming appointments. We understand we are all human and mistakes happen. Had she of been the slightest bit helpful or said sorry for the inconvenience, it would have changed the whole dynamic of the conversation. Please get her some intense training if she is going to continue being the first face your patients see when they come into the office. Based on reviews this is continuously a problem. Place would easily change from 1 to 5 star without her. Everyone else is GREAT and has been super helpful. We love Dr. Bright and his staff!
My eye glasses had a spot that looks like water got under the frame and won’t come out. There is a few scratches on them too. Dr. Said I don’t need new glasses even though I’ve had these glasses for 8 years . Little change in my eyes he said. I got a pair anyway with all the bells and whistles & an extra pair of just plain glasses in case I break a pair. I can’t see without glasses so I have to have glasses. I have to have my new glasses remade because I can see better with my old glasses. I’ll see how that goes. I have another appointment coming up.
