My first time as a new patient and very pleased. Mr. Blume took the time with me, did all of the necessary tests for my new script and was very thorough compared to other optometrists, especially the corporate box ones. It is a very positive atmosphere with great Christian faith. My entire family will be going here from now on!

Dr. James Blume is great. The staff and office however, are atrocious and behind the times. I've been attending this office for years, and simply tolerate the horrid customer service due to my liking of the doctor. Today, that changed and I will be taking my business elsewhere. The office is ridiculously small, with a dated lobby that is setup to seat nearly 10 people, when I've never seen more than one other person in the waiting room. The frame selection is poor at best, and nearly all frames catering to the senior citizen audience. This brings me to the worst front desk associate I've ever encountered, Kevin. It's impossible to browse frames without him leering over your shoulder and commenting on how he doesn't like the frames you've selected. Why carry the frames in the first place if you so openly dislike them? He is extremely rude and doesn't care if his attitude results in you leaving the practice entirely. I've had orders for contacts take more than three weeks to arrive, if Kevin even remembers to place your order in the first place. I just had Kevin hang up on me, after I called to see if my contacts had arrived since I ordered them 3 weeks ago. He told me that I called and said I did not want contacts so they had not been ordered. I pressed him on this as that did not happen and he simply hung up the phone as he was annoyed at the fact that he made a mistake. My wife and I both have had trouble when requesting a written prescription as they clearly do not want you ordering from a third party with better customer service and more reasonable delivery times. Kevin must be a family relative, as I have no idea how he has retained this position. Do yourself a favor and go see ANYONE else.

I am a medical professional. I rate Blume with 1 star. His office is more concerned with the "money" aspect than its patients. His medical equipment is antiquated and there is an uneasy feeling that Blume is not up to date with current medical changes. Even though my medical insurance pays 100% of all office visits (even had my insurance company call the office to explain), I was demanded by their office to pay $30.00 (which I refused to do for practical reasons) and then wait weeks for reimbursement, which I felt was not necessary and a waste of time as my insurance pays 100% and the office was informed of same. The office representative "saluted" to me when I told them I was no longer going to come to their office ever again. In other words, they cared more about "their money" than the compassionate, kind, willingness to work with a patient. These are medical expectations that we as patients should always receive. Would never recommend the office!

Dr. Blume is FANTASTIC!! He is in a class of his own, however Kevin his receptionist is absolutely terrible. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Blume for years, however we will not be going back because of how rude, condescending, and downright awful we have been treated by Kevin.

Dr. Blume has been my Optometrist since 2014. He and Kevin have been nothing but excellent since I've been a patient. 10/10 would recommend any day of the week.
