Eyezone - Reno South

I usually don’t write negative reviews for businesses because everyone has an off day, but this was truly such a frustrating experience, I had to write one. I have been a customer for several years, I called today because the shipping was delayed for my contact order. I asked the receptionist if they happened to stock them or if I could purchase a trial pair. She was very helpful, and went to ask the optometrist. The optometrist answered the phone and was immediately condescending regarding the entire issue. She offered to order me contacts and I asked for clarification if they had them in stock. She replied, they were not but “came fast.” I explained I was out of lenses and already had some on the way. I asked if I could purchase a trial pair and she said those were reserved only for contact fittings. I understand this policy; however, I called Family Eye Care to see if they stocked them. Their office went above and beyond, and offered me a trial pair. When I went to pick them up, and offered to pay they said no charge. Needless to say, I found my new optometrist. Spend your money at businesses that actually care about their patients.

Absolutely amazing place! Micah is simply the BEST and the front desk ladies are hilarious and awesome. Dr. Z was very personable and so sweet. My teen has anxiety when it comes to doctors offices of any kind and the entire staff made sure she was comfortable and welcomed without even knowing she had hang ups about going. Telling all my friends and family to go here immediately!!

What a pleasant visit. I took my 96 year old MIL here for an exam. Matt was very kind and patient with the exam and the doctor was also very kind spoken and nice! The receptionist girl was in training and did a great job, had a pleasant personality, as well as the "check out" woman. She helped with a repair to current eyeglasses and even explained the repair. I would definitely recommend this eye group at this location, very nice group working there and the Dr. were just great. a pleasant visit. thank you

I’ve been going to eye zone for a few years now, originally went to the Carson location until it closed. The one in south reno is fine, except I didn’t get my contacts from my last visit because the lady that orders them didn’t order them correctly and I had to ask for a refund. I probably will not order contacts from here again given they charge almost double than from the manufacturer itself

Great staff, very clean, & the overall decor is pleasant. The optometrists are kind & I honestly have never had to wait hardly at all to be seen. They also have prescription Oakley sunglasses offerings which I love. Highly recommend!
