Using this place was an absolute disaster. It does not even deserve one star. I have never dealt with a more disrespectful staff in my life. Apparently, I am not the only one who feels this way either according to the previous reviews. I used my own frames because I just needed to update my prescription and replace the lenses. This is what I usually do. They promised me my glasses would be ready in two weeks. That seemed a little bit long, but I understood. I did not receive them for over a month. I never got a call letting me know when they were ready either. I just kept calling and calling until they finally said they were. For weeks, they said there was something wrong with the mail. When I picked them up, my frames had been completely damaged to The extent I would have to buy new frames. The office staff immediately defended themselves and justified the damage as normal wear and tear. I dropped them off in great shape. After receiving my glasses, They did not Not even bother to have me try them on to see if they even The new prescription was correct. I had to go back in there and ask for Something on a sheet of paper to see if I could even read. They could have cared less and just wanted me out of there by that point. I feel like I was taken advantage of and lied to. I should have read some of the reviews before choosing this place. I was debating whether I should go to Costco, which have done an excellent job with my prescriptions and frames in the past, but I was convinced by one of the front staff that I would be making a mistake and they would do a better job. Absolutely disgusting service. It’s not worth the risk!

I’m surprised it’s taken me this long to write Dr. Shulkin a glowing review. He’s been my optometrist since I started wearing contacts my freshman year of high school (~15 years ago!). I’ve moved a couple of times and had to go to different optometrists during those times but recently went back to Dr. Shulkin and couldn’t have had a better experience in getting new glasses. He is knowledgeable, responsive and super helpful. His team is also very sweet (and busy! Be kind to them!) I’m very lucky to have had him to fall back on for quick and effortless lens & contact care. He’s such an expert!

They never told me my glasses were ready! I had to call them multiple times and then was told they had been in their office for weeks! Horrible experience

Dr. Shulkin is great but it seems the front office staff have no concern for patients. I was scheduled for an appointment only to show up and the place is closed with an outdated note on the door. They aren’t answering calls either. There was another man who showed up a few moments after me who also had an appointment that they just disregarded our time and effort. As a single mom, it’s very frustrating to have to go out of my way to find childcare and make it to appointments only to be standing at a locked door with no answer. I didn’t even get a call to reschedule — just left to find out myself which was very frustrating.

I definitely do not understand the negative reviews for Dr. Shulkin. I have been going to him for 5 years now and he is truly caring, amazing, professional and most of all knowledgeable and smart. I have received both my contacts and glasses from his office, he is centrally located, and a fast turnaround. Appointments are quick, if you have an emergency he always makes time for you. Definitely a doctor you're comfortable with and super caring. I can't say enough about him.
