My husband came to this location because he thought he would be able to get glasses finished in "about an hour" and he needed new glasses for the desert. He primarily wears contacts, and the doctor started prescribing some pretty fanatical scripts in comparison to what my husband had been wearing for the last 15 years. Anyone who wears contacts knows it pretty much stays the same with a slight increase or decrease each year. I wont bother with numbers but there was a drastic difference in script, and my husband tried the contacts while in the office and they did not allow his eyes to focus, so the dr gave him another pair which were basically what he'd worn the prior year which worked just fine. Once we ordered contacts through them, I shipped them overseas since he was deployed, and the script was in the original that did not allow him to focus. I went in person to the office to fix this issue, and had to wait 45 minutes to speak to someone because they were in "prescreening" while the assistant manager and 2 other employees stood around chatting. Now, even though the dr had notated on the paperwork the second script which did work, they will not order him lenses in the correct script and require to see him again because the Dr did not write the "right" script on the "official" script paper, even though you can see where he folded the paper over and crossed out the original script and wrote a new one below the other. Not only that, they will not refund the money for the lenses which do not fit him because the box had been opened and they have to see him to prove or disprove that they ordered the wrong lenses... This is seriously one of the best examples of lack of common sense I've ever seen. I personally go to Thompson Eye Clinic, and when we went to this location and I saw the equipment they were using to examine patients on in comparison I was uneasy because it is so outdated. I bet its not much of a difference between what I had used on me 15 years ago. I feel fortunate that I go to Thompsons because if I had only been places that had outdated equipment, I would never know to expect better. I would not take a chance with my eyes with these people unless you have no other option; there is a big difference in quality care with attention to detail and this particular lenscrafters.
