I have been looking for a new place for a while. And we finally found one good for the whole family. The staff is very nice and the doctor explains in detail even to kiddos. Very happy with our new eye care place.

My experience at New Mexico Eyecare Associates was a masterclass in how to lose a customer. First, I waited over an hour just to be seen—apparently “appointment time” is more of a suggestion here. Then, after all that, I was handed the WRONG prescription paperwork. Not slightly off—flat-out wrong. Trying to fix it? Even better. I hit a wall of “HIPAA policy” excuses just trying to get my email updated so they could send me the correct info. Somehow other offices manage to handle basic updates without turning it into a bureaucratic obstacle course, but not here. Between the excessive wait, the mix-up, and the headache of trying to correct something that shouldn’t have been wrong in the first place, I’m done. Add in the high prices, and there’s just no reason to come back when there are plenty of better, more efficient options out there.

Recently had to update my eyewear prescriptions and frames. Things were done very efficiently and professionally. Very happy with my glasses and contacts !!! Emily was very helpful getting my frames fitted correctly and making sure I had everything I needed !!!

I've actually tried this location twice. The first time I have to be completely honest, I don't remember exactly why I didn't return but I didn't. So when my new doctor stop taking my insurance, I figured I'd give this place a try again. Everything went well, the doctor was great. The fitting was fine too. The lenses and frames were fine. The problem came when one of my lenses got scratched, and I went back for my warranty replacement. The replacement lenses were not the same lenses that I had paid a whole bunch of money for. I let them know right away that there doesn't seem to be any anti-reflective coating on them. When I went back the first time the lady said it's on there just keep wearing them, you'll get used to. When I went back the second time and tried to explain to them that all I could see in my glasses was my eyeball and everything behind me, I was told that the anti-reflective coating is on my lenses and there's nothing they can do about it. I've been wearing glasses well over 40 years, so it's not like this is my first pair and I just don't know what to expect. Nobody ever examined the lenses, or took a minute to even listen to what I was saying. So now I have a really expensive pair glasses that just don't wear. The glare on these glasses is so bad that I can't see out of them most of the time if there's any light above or behind me. I think the biggest problem was, was that nobody even took a second to look at my glasses. The lady looked at the invoice and implied I was wrong and didn't know what I was talking about. I didn't feel like arguing with the lady at the counter, so I left and took my business elsewhere.
