There are no words to convey how helpful, beneficial and life-changing my experience has been with Dr. Torres. She truly is a blessing and knows how to treat dry eye and other issues. I came to her with severe dry eye and we took steps to where my eyes immediately started feeling better. She listens and takes the time to spend with you to help you. I would 1000% recommend her for any eye issue as she’s very passionate and determined to heal. In addition to her knowledge and kindness, her office staff is welcoming, pleasant and accommodating.

Dr. Mindy is such a gentle, caring, and confident soul. From the moment she walked in, she took the time to get to know me personally. She made me feel so comfortable it was like sitting with a long time friend. What meant the most to me was the way she brought faith into the experience. Praying with me was incredibly inspiring. I’ll be seeing clearly again very soon! Thank you, Dr. Mindy, for being such a bright light and for letting God’s love shine through you!!

I can’t say enough good things abouIt Dr. Mindy at Salt and Light Eye Care in Albuquerque. She is truly a phenomenal doctor. I brought my daughter in after seeing multiple eye doctors over the years, and for the first time, we felt genuinely heard and cared for. Dr. Mindy took her time, really took her time, to carefully assess my daughter’s needs, explain everything in a way that actually made sense, and most importantly, encourage her. That level of patience, compassion, and thoroughness is rare. She didn’t rush us, didn’t dismiss concerns, and didn’t just go through the motions like so many others have. Instead, she created an environment where my daughter felt comfortable, understood, and something we haven’t had before, hopeful. If you’re looking for an eye doctor who truly goes above and beyond, Dr. Mindy is it. I’m incredibly grateful for the care she provided.

TL;DR: the clinic is clean and refreshing, Dr. Mindy and Monica are incredible. They don’t take insurance. Level of care is worth paying out of pocket. Detailed review: I’ve heard about this office and Dr. Mindy for years and after my visit today, I can 100% understand why. The clinic is housed in an office a little intimidating at first because the lights in the hallway were off and I was worried for a second I was about to end up in a horror movie but once I turned the corner I was looking at the warm, welcoming, and refreshing office of Salt + Light. I was enthusiastically greeted upon arrival by the front desk gentleman Ricky and was thanked for coming and offered water. While I was getting checked in Dr. Mindy walked a patient out and instead of going to the back she introduced herself to me. Her kindness and warmth literally radiate off of her. Monica, the woman who did my initial tests was gentle, explanatory, and thorough. My exam with Dr. Mindy felt more like getting checked out by a friend than a doctor. When it came time for me to check out, she reviewed my quote with me personally, not one of her staff members (which is what I’ve experienced everywhere else). Above and beyond service/care at Salt and Light. The only pieces of feedback I will offer is that it’s a bit disappointing that they don’t accept insurance, my new patient visit was $300. However, I do feel like the care I received was worth it, especially if you only have to go a couple times a year. Secondly, it did feel a little strange being followed around by a staff member when I was looking at frames. I think maybe they wanted me to feel like I was shopping with a friend, but I would have liked a little bit of space. Maybe that’s just me. But, overall, I DEFINITELY recommend this office and the angel on earth that is Dr. Mindy.

Dr Mindy was everything I had already heard she would be. She spent a whole hour with me and before we even discussed my eyes, she showed care for every other aspect of my life! Many of my friends go to her and had recommended her and I am so thankful that she is now my eye doctor! I have been to many facilities and the minute I walked into this one I knew that it would be different 🩷
