I saw Dr. Palmer at Nipomo Optometry for the first time today and was thoroughly impressed by his knowledge, personality, cordiality, and the ability to answer all of my questions. I had seen the Nipomo Optometry building as I was walking around town one day and decided to check it out. I went in to ask a few questions of the office staff, and they cheerfully answered my questions and made me feel welcome. My questions were mainly focused on what the eye exam would entail and its costs. I had been going to an optometrist in PB and could never get an honest answer as to the cost for the glasses/exam, even though I had vision insurance. The costs were never broken down in the invoices, and then I received two additional invoices in the mail several months apart, even after I had made what I was told was the entire payment at the initial eye exam appointment. They also liked to pressure customers into an expensive eyeglass frame, without discussing the tiny white tags that were just about hidden on the glasses. Well, that is not the experience I had at Nipomo Optometry. Dr. Palmer's expertise during the eye exam was unparalleled. He really knows his stuff. What I liked even after the eye exam was finished is that there was no hard-sell on purchasing an expensive pair of eyewear. I told them that I wasn't interested in ordering a pair of glasses today, but in reality as soon as I walked out the door, I made the decision in my mind that I would definitely come back on another day to place an order. I highly recommend this local business and staff. They are a cut above the rest.
