The whole staff here are amazing! My son is autistic and everyone was so patient and kind. They made sure he felt comfortable and enjoyed his time there. The way they accommodated him and didn’t get frustrated by his stims was such a relief.

We had a great experience at North Idaho Eye Institute! Every staff member was friendly and welcoming, from start to finish. Dr. Calderwood was wonderful. He was calm, kind, and very reassuring, which helped put our daughters at ease. I shoutout to Nathaniel in the Optical Department. He went above and beyond. Was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of our questions, and even stayed on hold with the lab for a long time just to see if they could accommodate a special request for us. That level of care and effort is rare these days. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for excellent care and a team that truly cares about their patients!
I had something hit my eye the day before I went in. They got me in within 15 minutes. Checked everything out. They're really nice. I wasn't nervous at all. They talked to me about everything they make you feel like you're part of family instead of like a number. Really good people. I highly recommend them.
Our Doctor was great 4 and not 5 stars due the assistant that helps in the beginning each time we have been there they dont connect well with children. But our Doctor was amazing and he did very well with my daughter made her feel comfortable he was kind and caring great job .
I switched to North Idaho Eye Institute and had my first appointment, during which they performed several tests on my eyes, including an eye pressure test. I was told that my eye pressure was high and that I was at risk of blindness if the issue was not addressed. I returned for a follow-up appointment, where they repeated the same test. This time, the results were completely normal. I was then told that the initial test was likely performed incorrectly and had produced a false result. Despite this, I was still billed for both visits. I contacted the office to explain that I did not feel I should be responsible for the cost of a follow-up necessitated by an error on their end. They reduced the bill, claiming the error was not documented. However, I explained that the doctor themselves acknowledged that the initial test was likely incorrect. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I don't believe I should have been charged for a second visit that was necessary because of an error made during the first one. Based on my experience, I would not recommend North Idaho Eye Institute and will not be returning.
