I am writing to share my positive experience at the Lenox Hill Emergency Room following my visit on May 18, 2026 at Greenwich. After waiting extensively at Northwell Greenwich for transport to be evaluated for a transient ischemic attack, I arrived at Lenox Hill around 2:00 PM, May 19th. The check-in process was seamless and much more efficient than my experience at Greenwich. I was brought to a bed immediately, and I appreciated the concentrated layout of the ER floor. I specifically want to commend Dr. June Ree, who was very easy to communicate with. The entire staff demonstrated strong dedication to their patients, and the level of care was evident throughout the unit. I also want to highlight the gentleman who discharged me; though I cannot recall his name, he was a very efficient and caring professional who seemed to be a key member of the ER team. This location and its staff provided excellent service from entry to discharge. Despite a longer commute, I intend to make Lenox Hill my primary choice for emergency care in the future. I hope Northwell recognizes this team for the phenomenal job they are doing. Best regards, Soraya Jamie Montalvo

Today was the first time I’ve had an issue with Lenox hill.i brought my daughter. When we got here it was a nice and fast nurses were nice. Don’t know what happened after a few hours. It was like night and day, employees had attitudes and were very slow. My daughter got up to use the bathroom and they didn’t come back to connect the iv back in until an hour later. We got here at 6:30 it’s 12 and we are still here.So far all I’ve gotten is run arounds.

Walked into Lenox Hill Hospital Emergency around 11:30pm on a Monday night with a lacerated index finger which was bleeding through my self-bandaged hand. No one came to help—no doctor, no nurse. Left after waiting over an hour and half without my wound being seen or treated. Went to CITY MD Lexington & 79 St and immediately treated by a wonderful doctor. Next day received an After Visit Summary email from LLH stating that was seen by a Dr Elizabeth Fruchter in their Emergency Room! This is A TOTAL LIE….my wound was not seen or treated by any doctor or nurse at LHH!

The worst and filthiest ER I have ever been in. The staff could not care less about the patients. I have never ever experienced such a horrendous experience. The toilets were filthy. The check-in desk was like checking into a prison. There is so little room between the bays that staff can’t even access patients. I waited so long for a bed, eventually I just ripped the wires and tubes out of me and walked out. Nobody batted an eye-lid. I imagine it happens a lot.

Rude, slow, indifferent. If I'm in severe pain because of kidney stones, or diverticulitis, and they refuse to give me there in the ER Morphin etc, I'll file a huge law suit for unnecessary mental anguish and abuse. Patients are not to be made to suffer unnecessarily pain, because the hospital and administration get kick backs $$$$$$$ to avoid giving opioids with no basis. LAW SUIT!!!!!!
