Tanya is the front desk person here. She is inattentive, slow, and has no regard for people’s time. I sat for over an hour after my appointment to place an order for my glasses before I walked up and left. I was given no notice, “I’ll be right with you,” etc. she helped others that came in after me and I was neglected sitting in a chair in front of her for that time. What a waste of my time. Find a better Sam’s Club or a different eye doctor. She is the reason I hate my eye appointments.

Don’t waste your time or money. I had put my trust in Sam’s Optical Center in Ypsilanti based on the great service I received in the past at Sam’s Optical Center in Southgate. Not all Sam’s Optical Centers are of the same quality. I ended up going somewhere else after six weeks of headaches, bad vision, and finally, a refund. Here is what happened: the Ypsilanti Sam’s optical center gave me an eyeglasses prescription that was too strong and not correct. After severe headaches and no peripheral vision, I went back for a recheck. They gave me a prescription that was not strong enough. You can imagine how it feels to wear an incorrect RX and think that it just takes time to adjust. After headaches and the inability to see middle distances, I went back a third time. This time, they gave me a workplace pair but didn’t tell me up front this was only a workplace pair. I went in and picked up the glasses and found I had no distance vision. That’s when the supervisor told me this pair was workplace glasses only. My current glasses were scratched. I needed a pair for everyday use and will work for viewing my computer. I finally gave up on Sam’s Club and got a refund. I went somewhere else and had no problem getting a pair that worked perfectly. The RX was very different from all three of the RXs Sam’s Club Optical in Ypsilanti had prescribed. If you need a pair of high-quality glasses go elsewhere.
I have been using the Sam's club Optical center since 2018. Tonya is always kind and patient. My kids and I love her. An optometrist, Nelson Edwards took enough time to give an eye exam and to answer all the questions that my daughter had. Eye exam is $65 which is great!
The staff at Sams Club Optical are nice and helpful. My issue is with the lens distributor that they go through. TWO TIMES they messed up one of my lens and they had to send them back to fix. This wastes a ton of time and is a disappointment. There seems to be no quality control before glasses get shipped back to Sams. 3rd time is a charm!?!?!
Great service for my Eye exam. Team made several calls to insurance to help me both before and during appointment.
