The office staff is terrible. Went to the office this afternoon for my scheduled appointment upon arrival found an out to lunch sign. When someone finally decided to find out why I was waiting at the door. I was told that there were no doctors available and that I should have been contacted to reschedule. Told them I received no phone call/message, no text, no email. I asked to speak with the office manager, but was told they were on lunch and that I should reschedule. Went home and tried calling the office only to have my call dropped. Tried 2 more times with the same results. Called the Tampa office, who refused to let me speak with their office manager and that I should reschedule. Liked Dr Acosta, but not thrilled with the rest of the operation
Nothing with Dr. Prado because he is a good Doctor, however, he is the owner, so scheduling issues fall on his laps. In my opinion, I don't think they should accept new patients if the doctors specially Dr. Prado are not going to be good team players and step up and help others doctors with fulfilling schedules like some others doctors office do, when a doctor needs to be absent they have a assistant or another doctor to come in be tremendous team player and help out, my mom primary doctor does that, her cardiologist doctor do that, her dentist do that, and her old eye doctor which by the way has the same title of a doctor as Dr. Prado, she do that as well in having a back up plan, but you know who does not do that??This doctor does not do that, not sure if is pride or something. We schedules my mom yearly check up which is very important on 7-30 and guess what they told her that Dr. Cuva won't be in, so they canceled and wanted to change it all the way to like March of 2027, after arguing the best thing they can do is December which is also bad scheduling and the thing for them they think is acceptable but it is safe to say that is not acceptable to kick someone out of the curve and move her appointment close to ONE YEAR Later. And if Mr. Prado who is very busy making money from these people really but really cares he would read the others reviews from other people in this forum regarding this bad scheduling
I’ve been a patient for three years very pleased with Customer Service and the doctor as well. Minimal amount of waiting time And your test are typically very quick. The staff is Great. The Doctor is awesome. I highly recommend Them.
I inputted my new insurance card online at the link that I was sent. However, the night before my appointment, on Sunday night at 8 PM, I received a text message saying that My appointment had been canceled because my insurance was inactive. On Monday morning very early, I called my insurance and verified that it was active. My insurance company called Prado Vision to let you know that my insurance was active and to please reinstate my appointment for that morning at 9:40 AM. The lady who answered told my insurance that they could not give me my original appointment and that she couldn’t give me an appointment until September 28., Six months from Monday. I was furious. I hung up with my insurance company, got in my car and I showed up at the office and I explained to the young lady sitting behind the counter that I had inputted the correct insurance card information and that they should not have canceled my appointment. She was not very nice. As a matter of fact, she was quite rude, I didn’t get her name, but she had long dark hair, tied back, no glasses. I then explained to her that I had waited seven months for this appointment and that I could not just wait for another appointment six months further down the line. Then I asked her if they had given my appointment at 9:40 that morning to somebody else since they had just canceled it the night before. She grudgingly checked and said that she had just blocked off that timeframe. I insisted that my appointment be reinstated since I had waited seven months for this appointment. She kept talking to the other young lady in the front office instead of to me, talking in Spanish (I speak Spanish so I was understanding her) and I had to ask her a couple of times if my appointment had been reinstated. Finally, she said yes, but not in a very polite manner. She was very rude. I was not impressed with this behavior from someone working with the public. The rest of the appointment went fine, it was just the interaction with the young woman in the front desk.
