I did not have a good experience. The doctor was very knowledgeable; the staff seem to be more worried about their pockets than helping their patients The initial assistant took pictures of my eyes and did not inform me that it wasn’t covered under my insurance—which would have been fine if that was the only issue, but it was not. After I finished with the doctor, I was brought in to pick out glasses. The assistant seemed very helpful—picking out frames for me and offering opinions—all while knowing what my insurance covered and what it didn’t. After I fell in love with two pairs of frames, I was told it would be over $500. I felt that was incredibly expensive and asked why it was so much, only to be informed that the glasses I was encouraged to choose were well over my coverage. At this point, it was past 12:30 and I wanted to pick out cheaper frames, so I asked about their lunch schedule (since it was 12:30). I was told it was fine, but the assistant did not seem like it was. I was shown other options and still told it would be $180 (I have dual insurance, so I’m not sure why I would still be paying over $100). I declined the frames and said I would look when I had more time. My husband went in this past Friday. I had warned him about my experience and asked him to make sure they showed him frames within our coverage. He said he told them multiple times, yet he was still charged $225 at the end of the appointment. I called to inquire about this, and one associate named Marcia got an attitude immediately and transferred me to someone else, who admitted that my husband had been shown glasses outside of our coverage and that extras were added (anti-glare, warranty, contact fitting even though he did not buy contacts etc.) without his clear consent. It seems Price Family Eyecare are not ethical at all and push the most expensive frames so they can benefit from the lack of transparency. I have since requested to be dismissed from the practice and have secured my records. Today, I went to Walmart Vision Center and had a completely different experience. They clearly showed me what my insurance covered and which frames were available within that price range. I found two pairs that I really liked and only had to pay my copay.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dr. Christian Price – Price Family Eyecare Professionals (Lancaster, OH) Dr. Christian Price is hands down one of the best healthcare providers I’ve dealt with, period. He truly cares about his patients and takes the time to listen, explain, and make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way. The entire experience at Price Family Eyecare Professionals is top-tier — from the moment you walk in, you’re treated with respect and professionalism. Dr. Price is knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely invested in getting things right, not rushing you through an appointment. It’s rare to find a doctor who combines expertise with real compassion, but Dr. Price absolutely does. If you’re looking for an eye doctor in the Lancaster area who actually cares and delivers a great experience, this is the place to go. Highly recommend.
Sad to have to leave here, but I cannot seem to get anyone to call me back to schedule my daughter in to order new glasses due to a change in her Rx.
I ended up seeing that this location had a large number of 5 star reviews on google, so that’s how I chose this practice. Every staff member was kind, efficient, and informative. I learned some things about the eye exam and the health of my eyes that I had never heard before in the 18-20 years I’ve experienced of getting eye exams. Doctor Price took the time to really educate me and recommend what he truly thought was best for me. You can tell that at this practice they value ethics and moral more than your money. They want you to be informed and taken care of and do it with a spirit of excellence. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
So the entire staff there is so very kind and helpful. And doc price is the bees knees!!! Just AWESOMENESS! After a few yrs of searching for a good eye doctor, my husband and I took a chance on a recommendation from a good friend and it paid off! Very professional staff all around and they don't try and push you to buy this or that like some other eye docs in town. Thank you Price Family Eye Care for such great eye care!
